    FELLOW LOVERS

    *

    We are
    fellow lovers
    of the sea.
    Because of
    her
    infinity
    to all she gives
    fidelity.

    *

    ANCHORS AWEIGH

    *

    The breaking of the day
    Light oer the sea
    makes its way.
    Wind counterpoints
    the 'anchors aweigh!'
    as it fills our sails
    and
    from across the bay
    takes us blissfully away.

    *

    SANDSTITCHING

    *

    The sea sandsifting
    Birds sandshifting
    The wind sanddrifting

    but the grass....
    sandstitching

    *

    SAILSTARRED SANDSIFTING SEAWEED-SCRIPTED SEA

    *

    Sail-starred, shell-shored, stream-swelled
    sand-sifting, seaweed-scripted sibilant Sea
    secedes silently, softly

    Shadowed shallows sheathing scallops,
    sheltering seals, shielding scuttling snails,
shrouding sharks. Sands shifting secrete starfish,
    scampering shrimp.

Serene Sea supports Spanish scows, Sicilian
    skiffs, Senegalese schooners, Seychelles ships,
    Sardinian sculls.

    Saltsmelling sailors see soaring shrieking
    seagulls, striped sunrise, shining sunset,
    shshshing surf.

    Sudden surprising storm's symphonic sounds
slap shore shacks. Snows slip seaward, spring-subdued.
Soon sloop slides spiral sleep stairway.

A Breeze of Memory

A graveyard of dead trees

Fallen leaves of vast red and orange seas

Squirrels scurry before winter strikes

As children play while others pass on bikes

harmony of the trees an the wind come together and sing

As a bird chirps then stops to clean it's wing

Children shrieking and screaming as they play

Angry armies of cars roar past, then fly away

Memories start of when I was a kid

Only broken away by time an what it did

Sitting still only in question

Of who I am and to what is my impression

I laughed . . . I played here

I was happy unknown of fear

But then reality again breaks memory's connection

Only to be lost again, still unknown of my reflection

Author's Notes/Comments:

annnd, here you have yet another class assignment that I did way back.

Dandelion Flurries

love unspoken, grows in deed,
inspires hope for all in need,
days and weeks,
they muddle through
the cracks
of time's substinance.

unheard lament
taps stealthily on the door
with discontent,
a memory lingering,
the crevices open
only to see the words unspoken.

bitterness cloaked
in a weak array
of what seems to be
endless decay,
a life missed, a goodbye kiss
never given, just thrown away.

cool breeze touches skin,
reaching down,
plucked a dandelion flurry,
love is like the wispy sound,
take a breath and blow it out,
bye bye flurries, erase the pout.

life, it can sweep you up in hurry,
when it leaves...sometimes there's worry.
it is hardly like nature
to feel love like this,
there must be something
that was missed.

Author's Notes/Comments:

sometimes we have to say goodbye to love. if it hurts too much, it isn't love, but something else inside that feeds the pain within us. when it is loss from death, we mourn, but love should live on and eventually conquer the pain of the loss. if it lingers to violently and causes havoc in our lives, always seek the answers within to find out what was missed. pick up the pieces, start again. eventually love will give the grace and wisdom to see things through for the best and the greater good of all.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Blood they say is thicker than water
Anytime I'm home with my mother
brothers and sisters
I feel like being with them forever
Their presence radiates joy and laughter
But this bond is more than that of blood
It's of blood binded with faith
Now I have to leave, it is a must
Though my body somehow resist
I feel no remorse leaving this apartment
I have a mission to fulfil, In sha Allah I will

There is another bond drawing me
of lovely brothers and sisters in faith
That makes me feel comfort
Even though I'm far away from home
They are all my family; they loves me
I'm glad I've them all around me
A home it is a away from home

come away with me

Take me away,
Take me away and lets never come back.
Over the mountains thru the valleys and across the seas...
that's where i want to be.
Lets get away
Lets run away...
Come away with me...
To never come back ... to never look back.

My Final Day Alive

My final day alive
What shall I do?

Should I go out
Surrounded by loved ones
Have a great time
And forget about tomorrow?

Should I go crazy
Do something insane
Make me feel alive
And not think of what is next?

Should I stay
Lock myself in my house
My final hours alone
Wondering what is to come?

It is my final day alive
What shall I do?
