Leanan Sidhe

My heart aches

It yearns for my beloved

A fire long kindled burns within

She is not of the Earth

Her scent is in the wind

Her voice in the rain

Oh how I long for her!

She is ever before my eyes

When I wake she is beside me

When I sleep she holds my soul

I quiver with desire for my mate

She is more precious than diamonds

Than mountains of choice silver

Golden is her smile

Seafoam and starlight in her eyes

Oh how I yearn for her!

Polaris

Folder:
Light and Dark

A solitary star

Distant and cold

Amid a universe of shadows

It shines alone

Small and white

It glows alight

Clean and bright

On its own tonight

Near the horizon

Resting between heaven and earth

War

The dream

Always the same dream

A sun covered in blood

Over a field of grey

Lifeless thousands

Innocents where Death took them

Now waiting for judgement

Waiting to judge

Blackness with a red star

Shining down on the aftermath

Death has a large appetite

Its jaws bite down on all

Gnawing on their inanimate bodies

The dying are crying out against it

But their life is but a candle in a breeze

Soon to extinguish

They were but innocents

Caught in the crossfire

But not I

Too long have I fought this war

Come Hades, come quickly old friend

My time is near

And I am tired

Take me

Treading Water

What's the purpose in this life of mine
To keep swimming in an ocean without end
The tide pulling me far from shore
They say I'm fine
That I'll survive
But I'm only human
My strength is leaving fast
How long can I stay afloat?
I sink into nothing
A world where I can't breathe
Fire within but water without
Suffocating
Floating
Flying
In poisoned air
Finally a dream come true
A never ending dream
Isn't life beautiful?
It is now...

Carnal Minds

Carnal Minds

There was a time henceforth when I had ten thousand dollars to spare
Happy with what the Lord hath already blessed me with, I decided to share
Having no need for the money I called two local men to mine house
Rumor had it the second man had the reputation of a cheat and a louse

The first man whose name was Greed, came in and sat near as could be
Behind him was a man named Wisdom, but he sat far, as he smiled at me
I told them both that I had five thousand dollars to give to each
Then said Greed, "give it here now!" as he leaned closer so as to reach

While I counted the money I looked upon wisdom's silence as wise indeed
For I knew he was patient, and of life's carnality he did heed
I counted aloud the words "Five thousand" and then quickly did Greed snatch away
His half of the money, so in life's pleasures he could foolishly play

I looked up expecting a gracious word of thanks from the greedy wretch
But he was already gone without a word; it was Satan's lures he did fetch
Then I looked over at my friend Wisdom, who was never reeled in by Satan's lure
He always appreciated the life that the Lord hath given him which in itself was pure

A very uplifting man that always a smile for me and all that did pass by
For he was happy knowing our Lord whom graciously arose in the sky
I handed him his share and he quietly tucked it away
Then he went on about his business until a later day

A week later Greed ran Wisdom's old wagon off of the road with his new car
As he laughed about wisdom spreading his money to the poor afar
Then without notice the man in the sky did call
He said “The books are open, now come one, now come all!”

Greed waited in line continually bragging about his carnal things
Until he learned that he had traded them for his heavenly wings
He went to a place not fit for a man as he looked up at Wisdom flying by
He pleaded "Just one sip of water I beg you bring me from a cloud up in your sky"

Wisdom smiled and said "Dear friend, I stored my money in Gods eternal bank"
It was your earthly treasures that did demote you to a sergeant in Satan's rank
It was only yesterday that you passed a starving woman in your car so nice
I stopped in my tracks, gave her food and shelter, I didn't have to think twice

Now I am here with her in paradise, the place the Lord set aside
For those with a conscience and a heart, who in his laws did abide
Though I did have a thirst for life's carnal things
I knew that I couldn't fly up here without my precious wings

Speak to me no more from the pits of Hell
For justice is served, and I chose well!

This one is scarey... Beware!

St. Jerome

St. Jerome in the Wilderness

Master, Master come to me,

                                                                                            Savior, Savior hear my plea.

O Lord I understand my punishment.

I will not flee this banishment.

Until a time that you are done,

For you alone art the holy one.

Through temptation I have stayed,

Loyal in your gaze and unafraid.

I bear my cross as you bore yours,

Even with the window outdoors.

I use this quill to help you Lord,

As I hear the echo of a far off chord.

I praise your name to the land,

And rejoice when I hear the voices of the sand.

Amen, Amen I say to thee,

Amen, Amen please set me free.

Philosophy of a Life-song

If your life was a song,

what would it sing?

Would it's lyrics edify?

Will it speak of the many people who's

lives were touched by your existence?

Is it going to show that you stood for something?

Compose a motif that others will want to replicate.

Salute

No more do I worship……
man made idols in the sky
God fearing is mere words
Exorcised now are they that don’t exist…
Label how you feel
It matters not…..
Religion to me if you call it such
Is……
My brothers…..
I am not worthy to receive you,
but only say the word
I will be at your side with a full magazine
Venerated are those that fell
Glory be as you march
through the halls of Valhalla
Its you I truly love
Once a year I drink at your alter
Salute
To the glorious dead.

Behind the Curtain

valuable

seen through your eyes

fabricated

when the lens comes into focus

ignorant bliss

choosing to not look behind the curtain

knowing what you know for certain

truth can be ignored

if your comfort can be restored

a puzzle box to contort, to distort

to simplify all matters into black and white

no room for values of gray

it must remain this way

shutting down

your sphere is a bubble

focused signals

when the message can be fine tuned

prophets can bloom

mandatory

seen in your eyes

illusions

when the lens comes into focus

compulsive bliss

choosing to ignore what is behind the curtain

knowing what you know is certain

truth can be ignored

if it doesn't corroborate all you've absorbed

a puzzle box to contort, to distort

to simplify all matters into black and white

no room for values of gray

it must remain this way

and it all turns to shit

the pieces just don't fit

the world at your hands

reduced to marketing brands

so it's always been bullshit

a toxic fallacy of choice
