Basically a mother's love and worry for her children when they leave her presence. She longs for them back but when they return (winter) they've changed. But when they return once more she realizes they are the same.  

I'm in a relationship that isn't the best for me right now. I'm giving him the chance to grow up or I'm gone.

Would like some insight.
been trying to make this read better i know i use Looking out the window what do I see?, to much in this poem but its to show its a different day/or time, how else can i word it so it reflects another day/ week.
