A Few Fireflies, Those Dragonflies, & A Hundred Butterflies
Forever beat up
Insouciant, without manners
Habitual feigning—
Bursting from their cocoon,
Painted wings begin to flap,
And away they fly,
With twists and turns
They Dance.
Through nature,
In the flowers,
In our stomachs,
They fly and remind,
The world is beautiful,
Life is to live,
Let the breeze take you,
And Enjoy the unknown,
As painted wings,
Lift us away.
Sometimes in spring, a little butterfly alights
Taken miles off course, flying high above trees
She flitters and tumbles on a small gust of wind
Parchment wings carried off, by a south blowing breeze
Translucent colors pass through soft tissue wings
She floats the air like a whisper in time
Her beauty enhanced through sunlight rays
Her Magnificent dance is devine.
Sweet innocents flow like a newborn child
Without thought she lands on our wrist
A shadow in time, she flies away free...
In that moment, we cease to exist.
God has little signs for solemates when they meet
There are sudden fits of speechlessness and
thoughts that make you weak.
Have you ever had a vision that would
drop you to your knees?
Did it take you on a journey
beyond all your fantacies?
With his infinate wisdom
God has Angels that he sends...
And baby, I've got Butterflies for friends.
Clocks slow to a crawl time creeps it's deceit
Some days lack ambition no spring in my seat
Pounding heart sure to cave won't endure it's fatigued
Need mighty endowment strength stability proceed
This pen hits the paper racing heart slowly calms
I believe in my words the sweat dries from my palms
Trembling hands quieten be sturdy as steel
I take a deep breath... Now to enjoy how I feel

if asked to explain the definition of love
I wouldn't know what to say.
Maybe love is a deep affection,
maybe it's a romantic attachment,
maybe it's butterflies,
maybe it's fireworks,
or maybe,
just maybe,
love is the way I feel when I'm with you.
maybe
love
is you.
There's a spot in my chest where my heart used to beat.
But I drowned it with longing from the passenger seat.
Out the window the tree line whips by in a blur.
I'd tell you I loved you if I wasn't unsure.
The revving of engines fills the void in the space,
where the butterflies flew at the sight of your face.
I'd like to believe my tongue still hits the mark,
To find the rhythm and tempo that matches your heart.
Like old clothes, our comfort came apart at the seams.
Our nightmares together became our daydreams.
I still see you in summer, when the day meets the night.
But it's turning to fall and you're losing the fight.
The feeling you get, when you just have to lick your lips. A person so fine the butterflies do flips. You get the courage to go ask for help, but then they smiled and all your words are thrown on the shelf. Confused and lost in his eyes you become mesmerized. You feel fingertips rolling down your spine. Everything stops except time. There's no noise, no eyes looking at you. Ooooooh ! The feeling you get when you just have to stare. A person so fine you want to take it there. By the way their body sways and you just feel used and confused. Hypnotized from the hope, that they might be lost. But your lost for words. You must be dreaming. You can feel them touching your spots and saying things you've never heard. You want your dream to come true. TONIGHT ! Just tonight, they give you butterflies inside
