The New Realm
In the beginning of time, when the world had no name, everything was ruled by the Gods. After millions of years, they became tired and decided to create beings that worshipped them. The leader of the Gods, Ilaah, came down of his throne and took a handful of mud and sand and made creatures of different shapes and sizes, naming them animals. At first, he created them for the sole purpose of feeling loved and important, to have beautiful creatures worship him and the rest of the Gods, some special and fascinating for their own taste. But then Ilaah realized how useful they were, how they gave them goods and presents in their innocence, that he started creating them with another view. Each one of them had a purpose: he made tiny animals that worked the soil so it could flourish and he made animals big enough to collect goods from the trees. The animals served the Gods getting nothing in return, until the Gods started getting greedy. “We want the pearls from the bottom of the sea” the Gods told Ilaah one day. So he took more mud and sand, and created animals with tails instead of legs, giving them gills and scales so they could travel the ocean. “We want the shiny rocks from the mountains” they said. So he made creatures with wings, sharp claws and beaks. Everyday he received more and more requests, and soon enough he had made thousands of animals that served their selfish wishes.
Everyday, the Gods descended to gather the animals’ outputs, becoming less grateful with time. The animals became aware of this, feeling sad at first, and then mad. One night, all of the animals reunited at the seashore to talk about their issue. “We dedicate our entire lives to them and we get nothing in return!” a small squirrel said. “The only solution is to stop working for them, that way we’ll get the recognition we deserve” a hawk said. Agreeing to this, the next day the animals hid in their homes and didn’t work at all. That night, the Gods descended with their baskets, ready to gather. Seeing how the animals stopped working, Ilaah got furious, and designed a plan to get them back to work. He took mud and sand, and started shaping new animals. He made them almost exactly the same as the Gods, and added a drop of his blood to the shapes, calling them humans. “These humans”, Ilaah thought, “will take everything from them and give it to us”.
The next day, as the animals came out of their homes, the humans were already working, picking up their duties and completing them faster than any of the animals ever had. Instead of being mad, the animals were relieved to have help, so they started working with them. Humans and animals worked harmoniously and effectively, making the Gods very happy. But at the end of the day, when the Gods descended to gather, the animals and the humans had already made an agreement. They would work together, but they would work for themselves. The animals no longer needed the acceptance from the Gods, and the humans, a similar image to the Gods, wanted to make the world theirs. So they took all their hard work and hid it from the Gods, using it themselves. Together, they forged their new Godless world and called it Earth, to remember what they were made of and where they came from.

The Mountain
Long ago, when the universe was but an idea in His mind, there was chaos. So driven by his desire to bring order, He created it all: a scorching Sun to loom overhead to keep time in order, innumerable blinking dots to decorate the black void, a Moon to serve as the nightly counterpart of Sun, and a giant sphere which He named “Earth.” This seemingly insignificant desolate orb was, peculiarly, His magnum opus. The barren planet lacked ebullience, so He caused green petals, leaves, and stems to blossom from the empty ground, and engulfed empty valleys with torrents of water, fabricating potent seas, serene rivers, and tranquil ponds in the blink of an eye. However, this form of life did not provide satisfaction to Him. Thus, He felt the need to summate heterogenous creatures and endow them with the ability to decide their own fate. Using clay, He gave shape to creatures of all sizes and shapes, and He dispersed them on His creation.
For many months, the creatures dwelled in harmony with no need of other commodities. From the planet’s odyssey around the Sun emerged an unforeseen dilemma. Under the frosty grip of winter, the animals suffered. Seeing his creatures grapple with survival provoked Him a necessity to ease their troubles. Hence he grasped the surface and extended it towards the skies, forming what He would later name “the mountain of fire”. The instructions were simple: the creatures must visit it, light only the amount of branches they needed, and bring them to their dwellings for their personal uses. This was a manna to the creatures, for they thrived with new opportunities and their survival multiplied tenfold.
Yet, one sly creature sought to posses the fire for himself. Armed with a heap of wood, he made the trek up the mountain of fire. One by one, he ignited each branch. Contented with his acquisition, he became a hermit in his den with his bountiful fire. It did not take long for the other creatures to realize how after the first day, he never made his way back to the mountain of fire. Susception and intrigue spreaded through the animals, and they started to feel discomfort. One night, they decided to search for his place, in order to satisfy their curiosity. When they saw what he had done, they urged the greedy animal to return the fire and apologize but he resisted and did no succumb to their insistence.
The creatures tried to conceal the misbehaviour of the other, for they were scared of His reaction. By trying to hide it, matters only got worse and eventually He intervened. How could He be disappointed by the actions of his creations? He had no other choice than to extinguish the fire from the iconic mountain, causing chaos amongst the once-peaceful creatures. As a final punishment, He caused the fire mountain to spew fire onto the land. Thus, the first volcano was forged.
A long time ago, only three gods inhabited the Earth. These gods were few and the Earth was quite large, so in their boredom, they decided to create animals conceived by their own imagination. The god of water created fish, sharks, and whales. The god of land created lions, zebras, and elephants. The god of air created small birds, eagles, and bats. And so on until the Earth was filled with animals of all different shapes and sizes. They left their creations to their own devices, and watching from afar, the gods were pleased to see that there was balance in the world, harmony, as each animal protected their kin and lived peacefully.
The gods were so satisfied with the animals they had created that one day they decided to invite a handful of them to their palace in order to host a great celebration. All of the representatives were delighted by the invitation, and their enthusiasm and curiosity was fueled when they saw the grand palace built from materials they had never even seen before. The god of land received them, among them a dog, a mouse, a lion, a turtle, a hawk, and a crocodile chosen mostly by chance. The god of land introduced them to the rare fruit that only the gods ate, as well as their wine, and invited the animals to help themselves. However, he warned them to consume only in moderation, for although just a few bites and a few sips would make them powerful, if they ate too much their mind would become clouded.
The animals found this warning rather vague, and their mind was mostly filled with excitement as they danced and laughed, relishing the harmonious music of the like they had never heard before. A whole week they spent in celebration, and when it was over, the gods prompted the animals to take a hefty portion of their own food and wine. They wanted all the animals on Earth to experience what they had, saying that they deserved it, so the animals took as much divine goods as they could carry and left the palace. They were elated, and couldn’t wait to tell the others about their adventure. And although each one of them had meant it when they promised to distribute the food and wine among everyone when they got home, they couldn’t help themselves, and on their way back they started eating the food the gods had given them.
They only ate meager amounts at first, but the fruit was so rich and sweet, and the wine so strong yet so smooth, that they quickly devoured most of what the gods had given them before returning with the other animals. When they arrived, they clearly were no longer like the rest. They were stronger, faster, and smarter than the others. But their thoughts had also been tainted with ambition and even malice. These animals persuaded the members of their own kin to fight for land, in order to rule over the rest. The gods soon realized what had happened.
“Some of them have become too powerful even for us to control,” the god of water said. “Our creation has been corrupted, only chaos and destruction can follow.”
“Indeed. We should have left them as they were. Times were simpler, but they had all they needed and were happier.” Answered the god of land. “Now they will fight until there’s nothing left to fight about.”

Many people wonder how the world started. There are multiple theories trying to explain the origins of the universe thinking it’s a very complicated subject when in reality it’s very easy. In fact, so easy that it came to and end just the same way it started.
The key word we’re going need is “information”. Everything functions thanks to the exchange of information and it is through that the first clue of life started to appear. First there was nothing, then that nothing decided to duplicate itself which means reproduce the information it has of itself. Shouldn’t be very difficult to duplicate nothingness so that’s how the first information exchange begun. Next, after creating a huge space of nothingness it created something; a small particle of dust. The small particle of dust duplicated itself to transport more information. After that, small clusters of particles started to exist which is what we call “atoms” today. Atoms gathered together to create more information and that’s when the next method came to life: the exchange through grouping. The process kept going on like that until we have the first microorganisms that learned how to reproduce themselves with other microorganisms instead of itself so the information would be richer. Then microorganisms started to develop senses like sight and smell that manifested a new way to process more information which then became animals.
The last sense to develop was hearing. Animals created different speech patterns that allowed them to communicate with each other without the necessity of reproduction which made the process way quicker. Then one certain animal figured out a way to make certain sounds that would accurately communicate what the other was thinking; it was the first humans through speech. Speech was revolutionary, it allowed a much richer way to share information and for that humans needed to develop even more complicated brains to be able to process all of it. That’s how humans became the dominant species, being able to control the rest. All because of their ability to share more information. For a long time humans took the lead with that, creating books and the internet and things like that.
Now fast forward to the end of the world. Humans, animals and plants are part of a system of information sharing much like a body works. Each of those living things became the bacteria and cells conforming a much bigger body. The whole world became another bigger creature with the ambition and thirst for more and more information. In fact, it became so big that it was hard to be able to transport so many information. The stress of the systems conforming it had to explode with a bang. So what is it then? Is there a limit to how much information we can know? Or was that just a small experiment of the universe? Where did all the information go? Many questions had to go unanswered thanks to the ambition of the universe itself. It got tired for a while but then the beast decided to restart the process. It became the last living thing in the universe. And it is the one through which you are able to read this.

A NEW WORLD
Ca, born from the darkness, a lonely place, which through time bored Ca badly. Tired from being alone, he decided to create seven dragons to help him give shape to the darkness. Tem, the dragon of Time, who created the layer of time. Men, the dragon of the Mind, who created the ability to think. Fa, the dragon of Physics, created the laws of things. Bo, the dragon of Morality, who created a way to judge things. Num, the dragon of Feelings, who gave beigns the ability to feel. Sah, the dragon of Knowledge and Wisdom, for thoughts and and feelings would not be in vain.
It was the turn for Ca, the only dragon named after his master, this dragon wanted to show off and so he created planets to amuse his creator. He gained his attention, but just for a short while. The dragon felt moved by this, so it decided to go further, creating three gods: Bizck, Caferino and Razen. Ca commanded his three creations to work on a planet until they did a satisfying work. Bizck created the nature in the world, water, trees, plants… Caferino created humans, animals and microorganisms. Razen in the other hand, felt pressured by his creator, so instead of pleasing its’ whims, he decided to create chaos.
The three gods, draining energy from their master who is now referred as Alcarodia, created a beautiful and perfect world that they called Earth. Humans, animals and nature would live in peace, everyone was immortal and would be there to enjoy life. Unfortunately, Razen began to implement evil systems upon the world, he taught the beings how to kill and hunt, but no one saw the need to, so he also implemented the necessity of eating to stay with energy. Then he created pride, then jealousy, then avarice, then reproduction and so on. Predators arise, humans started wars, chaos was born everywhere, raging for centuries. Earth, once a perfect world, was forever scarred.
The humans, knowing the existence of greater godly powers, decided to damage the gods, and they killed Bizck in the process. Caferino, displeased by this, punished everyone by removing their immortality and separating the Gods from the world, he also punished Razen by forcing him to live in the shadows and the darkness of the night. Alcarodia had to go rest in the center of Earth from all the drained energy it suffered. Animals and humans had to behave differently to survive, but they would forever be corrupted by Razen’s curses. Far away in the galaxy, Ca’s attention centered on Earth, finally appreciating the work of Alcarodia, the dragon of Souls. Ca sat next to it, and with a wide excited smile, watched what would happen next.

God was sitting in his favorite cloud thinking how to make his afternoon more interesting, that is when the brilliant idea of creating a new world came to his mind. He immediately started with his new project and decided to call it The Earth. “But what should The Earth have? What shape should I give it? Who’s going live in it?” He asked himself. God took it one step at a time. First he made the shape and it started out as a circle but something went wrong and ended up becoming an oblate sphere. “Hm..That’s good enough, I guess”, said God. Now it was time to fill it up with everything else he wanted to put on Earth. He started with animals like lions, bears, giraffes, birds, monkeys, and other animals that live on land. He then got creative and filled some spaces of The Earth with water. That is where sharks, whales, fishes and other sea animals lived. Finally, he froze some parts of Earth and penguins, polar bears, walruses and other artic or cold weather animals lived there. “That’s pretty good, think I’m done here”, God said. That was that.
Back on earth, all the animals lived happily in each of their designated habitats and in its best conditions: polar bears never suffered from warmth because it was always winter, camels were always relaxed because it was always hot, orangutans were always resting because it has humid and perfect, and so on. Surprisingly, lions were also friendly because they didn’t have to worry about anything. They even greeted each other.
“Hi my name is Simba, nice to meet you”. A lion would say.
“Hey, Simba I’m Mufasa. I really like it around here, don’t you?” The other responded.
All of the other animals felt the same, everything was in its place and they all lived in peace. Nature was taking its natural course; it was all working perfectly.
God was very fond of his creations, especially all the animals. Nevertheless, Artemis, daughter of God, was jealous of his creations: she utterly desired to damage her father´s creations. One day, Artemis noticed something that was happening on earth… the animals became more egocentric than ever before. Because they were so accustomed to live without preoccupations, they didn't care about other species. They didn’t want to share there living space, or to just share a ration of food. All the animal kingdom began to behave like this. It was becoming a world that God did not intend to create.
The relentless Artemis took advantage of their misbehaviour, grabbed the planet and started shaking it. She managed to shaked it so intense that she altered the weather in each habitat, thus corrupting the peacefulness that once existed. The perfect habitats no longer were: polar bears began to have summer, camels began to have winter, and lions became meaner because they weren’t at peace anymore. So from that moment on now, every animal received their punishment, and had to deal with it. The animals had to learn how to survive.
A billion years ago, when life in Earth consisted only of particles, the Gods decided it was time to create another form of life. For that reason, they created a beautiful valley with a river that nourished life to all the different species that lived around it. These animals were astonished by the beauty of the world, the green grass, the blue sky, and the crystal clear water. They rejoiced living with each other and lived peacefully. Each animal had a specific job to perform at the valley, the birds were in charge of keeping an eye on everyone from the sky, squirrels gathered nuts for everyone to eat, and the beavers were given the most important task of all: taking care of the water that flowed through the river.
They worked gracefully as team, fueled by joy and passion, they did it all from dusk till dawn, chopping down logs, collecting twitches, and tearing down branches to build huge dams that provided water for all the other species. Nevertheless, they had to this this with some precautions, to many dams would prevent the flow of fish, which would lead to a lack of food, too many dams could cause the land to dry up, or a dam that didn’t allowed some water to flow could lead to an eventual flood.
One day, a beaver grew selfish thoughts and acted upon them, deciding to create a small dam to keep some of the water to himself. He started collecting small twigs and branches in order to accomplish his desire. Every day, he woke up before everyone else did, in order to work on his personal project and every night, he went to sleep a little bit later. After he was done building his very own dam, another beaver noticed what this very selfish beaver had done and so began doing the same thing. After this other beaver had finished his own dam, other beavers started to notice and wanted to keep water and space to themselves as well. This went on and on, suddenly every beaver started to acting selfishly and build their own dams, without considering every other animal in the valley, and ignoring the task that was assigned upon them, that was to take care of the river; until one day, the river barely had any more water.
The beavers’ selfish actions had ended with the flow of water, causing thirst to the animals that depended of it and starvation to others, fish were trapped and had nowhere to go, the grass became grey and utterly dry, causing hunger to the animals that ate it and inhospitable to the ones who lived on it. This made the Gods furious, but instead of punishing the beavers, they decided to help them realize the consequences of their selfish actions and how it had impacted on every other animal’s life. This realization made the beavers really sad, but most importantly, they understood that their selfish actions not only meant punishments on them by the gods, but it also affected the lives of others. From that day on, they pledged to never steal water again and to work as a team forevermore.
The Horses
Enrique Garcia and Sofia Pons
When the world was being created it looked nothing like it looks today, the gods were roaming around in their giant horses. Each god loved their horse and had special relationship with them. Poseidon had a seahorse, and Zeus a lighting horse. One day, the horses were talking to one another, questioning the power of the gods. They thought that they should rule the world of the humans, as they were more beautiful, more powerful, and more graceful. Zeus’ horse set up a meeting with all of the horses.
“We should be the one to rule this world”, he said “Why would the gods create humans to rule this world, they are so greedy we shall not take this anymore!”
“But how do you suppose we are going to win against our masters?”, said the seahorse.
“We shall not obey them anymore, we shall rise up in arms!”, he said.
“How will we be able to do this without getting caught by our masters?
“We know all their powers and their plan end even their whereabouts, it should be easy to ruin their plans and we even know where they are going to be at any given time.”
“I hope you are right about this, we could end in big trouble!”
The horses went their way making up their plan, they were to attack their masters in their sleep on the 7th day of creation when men were due to be made. They were not going to let the men rule a world when they were created after them.
Zeus’ and Poseidon’s horse snuck into the gods meeting and were waiting for the right moment to intervene.
“I do not think I want to go through with this anymore, I love and respect Poseidon and I do not want to upset him”, said the seahorse.
“Be quiet, they might hear us, there is no going back anymore”, he said.
Suddenly, the gods stopped talking and looked at the corner where the horses were hiding.
“What are you doing here?”, exclaimed Zeus, “What do you think you are doing?”
“I am sorry gods, forgive us we crossed over the line!”, said the seahorse, “Forgive us for meddling in your business”.
“What were you planning to do?”, asked Poseidon.
“We deserve a better role in this world, we have done everything and we demand to be the leaders! These humans you are about to create will betray you!” Zeus’ horse said.
In that second all the gods looked at each other and pointed at Zeus’s horse. They saw the greed in his eyes and the danger it would be to the world. All of the sudden the lightning horse started to turn into dirt and stones and could not move.
“What is happening to me?”, asked the horse.
“You are a danger to this world and we have to take away your privileges. You and all of your kind will now have a different purpose. You will know be mountains and surrounding lands”, said Zeus, “And you, little seahorse, you will go to the ocean with the rest of your kind, and you will be smaller, since you are less of a danger to the world, but you still doubted us.”
And from that moment the gods would no longer be able to ride their giant horses. All horses lost their privileges and had to become different things in the world because they were too much of a danger.
