Lady Bug

I remember in the beginnig

we were just "going with the flow"

you planned a roadtrip

and kept the destination a secret

I remeber feeling elated, excited, alive

you pulled over next to a sunflower field

and I found myself, heart racing,

pushing through tall grass,

jumping a barbed wire fence

and returning with my prize

I remember that beautiful little town

how the next day,

you took me to the bird sanctuary

how I sat there admiring these creatures

how I envied their wings

I remember when all those ladybugs

dotted your car

How I felt like a child

waiting for each one to fly away

And later, finding a little lost lady

inside with us

how I wanted her to stay

how we cracked the window

and set her free instead

I remember wishing upon her beauty

and the next day at breakfast,

how I shrieked when a giant locust

crashed into my face

except it wasn't a locust

you reached over to reveal another

little dot lady and I squealed with delight

her little legs tickled my hand

at the tip of my pinkie she spread her

little wings and fluttered away

I remember we looked up her meaning

lady of luck, messenger of blessings to come

how I felt it could not have been

more perfect with you

And then the drive home,

Spotting yet another little lady

trapped inside your car

how we were already driving too fast

how she held on to the window's edge

how I urged her to fly

You suddenly pulled over

and I remember thinking it was

the sweetest thing of you to do

I remember telling the little lady she could fly

how I whispered goodbye when she did

how my heart surged with gratitude

while my eyes got warm and salty

how you pulled me to you

and how that kiss tasted like flying

I felt like the luckiest lady in the world

you called me your Lady Bug

I'll never forget it

Sealed with a kiss

Sealed with a kiss

By JFarrell

I can’t be there now

Though I want to be

But I can take my words

Fill them with all the love I have

And send them to you

Sealed with a kiss

I can’t be there tomorrow

Though I want to be

But I can better myself

Change my ways, stop drinking

And every day I’m sober will be

Sealed with a kiss

I will be there soon,

Not anywhere near as soon as I’d like,

But, I have to get to you,

I have to tell you how amazing you are

I have to promise you all my love, and that promise will be

Sealed with a kiss.

Love at First Kiss

In her eyes,

I found my soul,

The heart she gave me,

Made me whole,

And when we met,

She took my breath

She made me wonder,

Have I met death?

For she was so pretty,

Her allure seemed serial,

Her heart magnanimous,

And her beauty ethereal,

I may not know everything,

But at least I know this:

When it came to passion,

All I needed was her kiss.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I met a girl during the Christmas holiday in Washington, D.C., and she sparked some inspiration for me to write this poem. I had been trying to write a poem for almost a year with no luck, until now. I wrote it over several days, and I am rather satisfied with the result.

To Be With You

Like the bees need the honey dew
And the dark needs the light
All I want is to be with you
Cause I care for you with all my might

Though I just met you a week ago
I would simply like to say
Being with you makes my heart flow
From day to day

I'm afraid that I might fall in love
Looking at the twinkle in your eye's
Sparkling like the stars above
Drifting romantically through the skies

How I would like to kiss your sweet lips
And caress your soft skin
I beg you don't let my heart rip
Stand beside me and hold it in

You’re pure as a white cloud
To walk with you I would be proud
You’re sweet and beautiful
Your kindness is plentiful

For the rest of my life I want to be with you!

The First Kiss

The first kiss I remember well
As well as our first embrace
I remember how it made my head swell
And made my fluttering heart race!

I remember the twinkle in your eye
Your heavenly glow lit up the sky
Your tender lips were ever so soft
They sent me drifting ever aloft

Rather than floating on cloud nine
Your kiss sent me to heaven divine
I was literally lifted off my feet
By your passionate kiss ever so sweet

I swear that I seen stars after that kiss
My mind clouded by a heavenly mist
There is no doubt what that kiss did for me
It left me suspended in shear ecstasy

It is hard to believe that so much passion
Could be in such a simple action
When you’re gone your presence I miss
So I think of the first kiss

Touch of Your Lips

One touch of your lips,

Transforms my inner mind,

As if a tacit tempest does approach,

Taking me to a place undefined!

I like the hungry Thor,

Keep on asking for more kisses,

Yet shy you feel like the bride,

Letting me dream of blisses!

Let me fly away to your heart’s edge,

Let me die in your arms with courage.

When Our Lips are Locked!

When I touch you passionately,

But not erotically!

When my lips touch yours,

True love my heart ever explores!

Yes I feel the true love,

From that loving kiss thereof,

I discern then and there,

With you the outstanding moments I’ll share!

I realise in my heart’s core,

You're the reason I was born for!

I have attempted to portray the romance between the lover and the beloved.

On Faithfulness

Simple Thoughts

"Don't get so frustrated,

it's only a book,

or a few words

that you threw,

hoping they might stick.

Sound familiar?

especially if you've stuck with it.

Life can be funny like that,

in fact, it is,

that the same things

seem to alwaus happen

to people who may wish

it wasn't the case;

assuming it's negative.

Once you give it a second

to process,

it's wild to think

the same exact advice

you give

is the opposite

of how you live

your own life.

Some advice...

Twice now I've had to step in.

To stop the golden desires

of sundrops on skin,

when there has already been seeds sown,

a tree has been growing,

and now there's doubt,

the axe lays on its side

nearby. Nearly every time,

it can hurt to cry,

but not if infidelity

is the reason why. At least,

let's hope

that's not the case.

I'd hate to see the fallout,

it'd be all over the place."

Author's Notes/Comments:

Just some thoughts on my ever-increasing number of friends who have yet to reach relationship goals...

She Kissed Me on My Forehead!

She kissed me on my left cheek tenderly,

As if she were profoundly in love with me,

Ran her fingers across my tresses,

Before settling her head on my chest.

She looked into my eyes at a stretch,

As if time stopped its everlasting race,

Just then and there,

Between me and her.

When she kissed me gently on my forehead,

I opened my eyes and discovered myself on my bed!
