This is a moving memory of your late father…: This is a moving memory of your late father. It brings to mind a lyric Stephen Sondheim wrote in one of his songs from 'Into the Woods'. 'They disappoint, they disappear, they die and they don't.'  Our mother and father, be they good, bad, or indifferent, always remain a part of who we are. Thanks for posting.

Bravo!  A thousand times: Bravo!  A thousand times over!  That man, whose name I have vowed not to write or say, believes that he, like Hitler, is above the law because he has a mandate from the people.  He talks like right out of Mein Kampf.  Back in November and December, 1974, I had to write a book report for WWII History class . . . on Hitler.  (10 pages required, I delivered 50.)  I spent 4 weeks in a deep dive into that book, and now I hear echoes of Mein Kampf in so much of what that man says.  Mark my words, we are in for a rough ride for the next four years!  Thanks for sounding a warning.

Excellent ideas!  Myself, I: Excellent ideas!  Myself, I prefer the way the Founders wrote it, although I would abolish the electoral college and the second term.

RE: to the guy who just pm'd me...: no thank you... I much prefer hanging out on my forty, smoking weed all day long and minding my own business... I realize "The American Dream" and I can tell you I didn't come to it by going along with the status quo..."The Status Quo is the enemy of Liberty" - I suppose there are some of us that don't want to be free, which is fine by me, however we must not impose our rules on others so that we can feel safe in our prison...     to the other guy who just pm'd me... no, you must realize your own dream... however you may leave your phone number and I will call you when I need firewood...     to the other other guy who just pm'd me... yes indeed I do have some thoughts on how to implement such a plan in which I have no vested interest whatsoever (and neither should you;)... let me know when you're ready, best make it quick before you-know-who declares himself king (in all seriousness I am curious to know exactly when you thought America was ever great)...

The intersections of science,: The intersections of science, culture, and commerce are often absurd and the cyclical nature of perspective brings a sense of cosmic irony and futility. This lively poem confronts the uncomfortable truths about existence, society, and the passage of time.

This is much more than a poem: This is much more than a poem about E.A. Poe.  I am no expert on Poe, but I believe this is a textbook perfect introduction to his personality.  This poem should be read aloud at his tomb.  In my opinion as a poet, this poem is superior to Mallarme's poem on Poe.
