The bulk of humans are: The bulk of humans are selfish. Some take it out on the young before their born. Others take it out on them once they can hold a rifle. And some people take both shots.
One of the most memorable: One of the most memorable rants I've ever witnessed involved a person delaring anew their concerns over capitalism and climate change while ordering some styrofoam-packaged food with their smart phone in their hand, computer on their lap, and 55 inch screen t/v blaring in the backround. Then, when the "Ring" device revealed the delivery guy was at the door, that was a most poetic finale.
I don't remember what specific points they made, of course.
This "just being" - perhaps: This "just being" - perhaps something that most, if not all of us, could use a little more of, in this day and age. Especially, when shared : ) A great foundation, indeed. Quite a beautiful presentation.
Jenny The Ho:
"The Process"
I watch Cable TV and get a line or two to work with.
I'm ready for bed was the line I picked up off a commerical.
Had to write a line that rhymes with bed "said" in it.
My prayers are often answered, I just had to throw that line in there.
I gave Jenny feelings for her to make a decision on a guy.
Everybody in High School has a ho, so I threw that into the mix.
Jenny has to practice beening a ho at the school function for the story to work.
So Jenny had to start a fight.
The narrator walks away with jenny for life.
End of story of Jenny.
Asceticism is for the birds,: Asceticism is for the birds, that's a 21st C urban response. The way the world is today, we wouldn't have all the ingredients to make it successfully work. An approximate ascetic lifestyle might be more apt. But that is just one opinion. Hope you had a good new year. Please pardon my being away sporadically.
