Spontaneous prayers seem to: Spontaneous prayers seem to be a direct route to the Heart of The Most High. Humility, empathy and sincerely radiate in this micro tower, making it a spiritual epic. Thank you for being a scribe to the Infinite, so whoever needs this will be blessed.
With your customary poetic: With your customary poetic skill, you depict a very bleak prospect indeed; and one which, I suspect, happens far too often and far too extensively. I also think that most people are unable to articulate it---but this poem definitely provides expression of it, and that will help others who are unable to make such an expression.
You were kind enough not to: You were kind enough not to mention the inappropriate word, "proud," in the title. I have changed it to "smug," more befitting to the content of the poem.
In what way does this qualify: In what way does this qualify as a poem?
You call it a blog post. You are correct. You have written a blog post, and it is not a poem. Although I cannot speak officially for PostPoems, I have been a member here for over twenty years, so I think I have some credibility to say that PostPoems showcases POETRY and blog posts. I have nothing against you personally, bur this blog post you have written seems to me to be an intrusion and an imposition.
A highly insightful statement: A highly insightful statement about the infiltration of soulless technology and corporate culture, or, as you cleverly called it, "corporate capture", into too many aspects of our lives.
Your savvy, perceptive commentary radiates with wit and truth, and I found it very easy to connect to (and thoroughly enjoy) because of your spontaneous, casual style. Nothing preachy or condescending here. Just undeniable reality, cunningly exposed. I wanted to quote my favorite lines, but I loved them all.
A stunning examination of our lives in the digital crypt.
This is one of the most: This is one of the most charming and applicable personifications of nature I've ever had the pleasure of reading. You succeeded in creating a heartfelt connection to the Earth's inner child, and presented an urgent message at the end. A wonderful invitation to nurture our world.
You state David converted the heart of Goliath: You state David converted the heart of Goliath
On the veracity of that statement
No one can vouch
The least we can say
Is David had a rough day
When he got home
He had to Goliath on the couch
I enjoyed it.
