Hard-driving, soul-stirring: Hard-driving, soul-stirring lyrics that hit the bullseye on what it means to struggle for authenticity in an inauthentic world. I tell you honestly: your slamming, introspective and true-to-life lyrics outshine much of what I've heard in contemporary music. You have a gift, dear song spinner!
Words pale in the presence of: Words pale in the presence of such eloquent footprints. I think I'll be living off this very kind comment for a week. Or more.
Huge love!
Caught in the whirlwind of: Caught in the whirlwind of your dialed-up, mesmerizing and unmoored expression—its trueness, its crescendo of living at its most intense pitch—I was finding myself relating to many of the emotions and also very impressed by your ability to put them all out there with a formidable, very admirable, spirit of strength .
Honestly, it was very inspiring to be immersed, deeper and deeper, in the rapids, and then emerge on the other side vicariously empowered. Anything you may have lost in the battle you gained, many times over, by being your true self and knowing your worth.
And you certainly made the right call by realizing that it's not our job to fix anyone else. What freedom there is in that! You can't put a price on that and, to me, that's the takeaway in this astonishing rocket of talent and truth. You crashed through the turbulence, and ultimately vaulted past it. Good for you!
A strikingly penned and transformative journey.
Thank you for such kind: Thank you for such kind words. I've been divorced almost 20 years now. Don't even date. Haven't even been on a date in like 18 years.
Thank you Starward. Our value: Thank you Starward. Our value of many assorted things could so easily be eclipsed by the more prominent one in our recognition. And that will not have diminished the value and beauty of the less prominent ones which would be of great benefit and blessing to us should we allow such pleasure to satisfy. Doors are designed for wonderful reasons and uses!
Your talent is clear-cut: Your talent is clear-cut emotion, a hard drive thru the ocean of commotion and creative (topmost, masthead) Speksnyder Poetry.
I like that, the pieces fit: I like that, the pieces fit but the picture doesn't make sense. Too much on the brain, the plate, the line... its okay to be on overload that's all the overlords seem to give us!
Logged on to find Not 1 but 3: Logged on to find Not 1 but 3 poems to delight in! Thos is the first of the three and what a magnificent rhapsody! The sensitivity of the descriptions and the amazing use of a cutting line "I knew what peace was...I knew what joy might be..." wow! Just so wow! "The mist was holier than sorrow..." that was sincerely the most beautiful line I've read in the last 3 years! From a moon splash to a universe splash sometimes the journey must needs before we can truly understand the nature of existence and ourselves. If only everyone's journey to self discovery was as graceful and elegant as of was hortifyingly beautiful then wed probably ascend a whole lot more especially if we allknew what we really areand then so much more! Gorgeous write! Some astoundingly excellent lines. Much enjoyed. Hugss
The wisdom in this poem as: The wisdom in this poem as well as being profound is also awesome!!! In my present state of health (although I think this state is reverting back to a territory, and then to a wilderness, lol), I have experienced several failed sunrises, metaphorically and metaphysically. But the streaking moombeams of my past, now that I understand it better (after three years to contemplate it), are always ready to fill in for the failed sunrises until that situation is remedied. I thank you very much for posting this excellent metaphorical . . . and metaphysical . . . poem.
Fortunately, PostPoems': Fortunately, PostPoems' archives preserve so many of those neglected Poets' poems, so there are plenty to go around. And thanks for the comment and the validation---coming from you, that means a whole lot to me.
