Author's Notes/Comments:

Just a little fantasy...but I have NO doubt that it COULD HAPPEN.  I got the idea for a story poem from reading another poet's work.  "Beacon Hill" on Helen Schmidt's page.  You should read her work, if you like mine.  Her userid is helen.

First Love

Author's Notes/Comments:

The things in this poem actually happened.  At a time in my life when I had no money, no help and no one to turn to, God sent a neighbor to plow my garden in an answer to prayer.  He just showed up on his tractor and said he wanted to try out his new plow--did I plan to have a garden?  When I couldn't afford the expensive bulbs I wanted, some were given to me free of charge without my ever letting anyone know of the desire to have them.  God is so good to me.

A Prayer For Daddy

Author's Notes/Comments:

This was written many years ago after my Daddy literally gave his land and home away in order to help someone he loved.  It broke my heart, but my Daddy is the finest man I've ever known.
