I like to wake up bright and early
To a house that's quiet and still,
With the fresh morning sun kind of dancing,
Through the curtains that flap on the sill.
With my boys fast asleep in their bedrooms,
And the kitten all snuggled nearby,
I have time to talk to my Best Friend,
The one with the All-seeing Eye.
I find if I start in the morning,
By spending some time just with Him,
My day will continue much brighter,
And the worries of yesterday dim.

I love this poem. I share the same sentiments, and you have expressed them beautifully. Ah, the quiet time of the day, when all is just awakening, but not the kids yet.
A few deep appreciative breaths, and a moment to re -establish the connection, and I am set for the day.
Nicely expressed. Keep up the great work.
