On Sunday, January 9th, 1994, I became a Christian, and was baptized a week later. On Saturday, April 19th, 2014, I was chrismated into the Faith of the Orthodox Church (with the name, Januarius) which accepted and validated my January, 1994 conversion and baptism.

My screen name, Starwardist, has been inspired by my favorite Scriptures---Revelation 22:16 (foremost), Matthew 2:2, John 12:32, 2 Peter 1:19, and Sirach 43:9-10. I have used its Leet Code form as my user name on this site. Starwardist succeeds my original handle, Starwatcher, to which I was led with the help of my first Beloved, BlueShift, on Saturday, July 10th, 1976; the two names have similar meanings.

Constantine Cavafy's poem, "Very Seldom," describes my situation, and my hope for my Ad Astra poems.

My Haigo (or Haiku name), Kyakuchuu, means "footnote" in Japanese.*

Presently, I am removing failed screen names from the poems. I hope to complete this before Palm Sunday, 2025.
