This is a paraphrase of Isaiah 53, my favorite chapter in the Bible. It describes the "Amor Noster Redemptor," the Passion (or love) of our Redeemer, Jesus. It was God's will (and His grief) that Jesus die for us that we might be saved. Isaiah was a poet and I encourage you to read his original version. Again, I have written about his death, but never forget his resurrection.
FYI- Amen means "may it be."
