Holding on while letting go

Author's Notes/Comments:

The middle line, taken from Neruda's ninth because it fits,
"Because in the weavings of those invisible fabrics

The Big Black Fence

Songs
Author's Notes/Comments:

This song is a straight standard 12-bar blues progression in A.

Do you have a band and need some lyrics? I would love to collaberate.

Ps. I wrote Ithis song around 20 years ago. I do realize that the term retarded is now considered unacceptable. I tried to find a modern substitute that fit the rythm and feel of the song, but was unsuccessful, so I've left it as originally written. It's not meant or used as an insult, that's just the word we used back then, meaning slow as in slower development. I guess I'm OK with that. Hope it's taken in the spirit it was meant.

I wrote this after someone said in a comment how people who use rhyme in poetry are immature, and it makes the work trivial.i didnt think so myself.
