Jesus Christ

TRUSTING HIS PROMISES

Trusting His promises

believing what He says

is sometimes hard to do.

But He loves you

so trust His promises.

You can believe everything He says.

The words of the Lord are always true,

just as wet is always the morning dew.

He promises to bless those who love and serve Him.

And you, He will prune and trim

until your every limb

is weighed down with righteously pure fruit.

So, let not sin, your heart, pollute.

Trust the Lord always.

Abide in His ways.

Trusting His promises

believing what He says.

LIFE IS AN ACT OF WORSHIP

Life is an act of worship,

who or what to offer adoration?

My heart dost firmly grip

just how crucial is this decision.

Who or what to offer adoration

is the question mine heart must decide.

Just how crucial is this decision?

Oh, it cannot be ignored. I tried.

This is the question mine heart must decide:

For whom or what shall I live?

Oh, it cannot be ignored. I tried

not my heart, my life to give.

For who or what shall I live?

I tried to make the decision

not my heart, my life to give.

But then myself became number one.

I tried to make the decision

to not decide at all,

but then myself became number one.

That was the beginning of my fall.

To not decide at all,

was to choose self over Christ.

That was the beginning of my fall.

Oh, I'm so easily enticed.

Why did I choose self over Christ?

It may have been unintentional,

but, I'm so easily enticed.

Keep me from my Lord, sin shall.

It may have been unintentional,

to serve mine own flesh.

Keep me from my Lord, sin shall.

Now, I feel like trash.

Serving mine own flesh

is the root of all my guilt.

Now, I feel like trash.

In my hands, my fate I have helt.

The root of all my guilt

is selfishness...sinfulness.

In my hands, my fate I have helt.

And of it, I made such a mess.

Is selfishness...sinfulness

the choice I want to make?

And of my life, make such a mess?

Don't I know what's at stake?

The choice I want to make,

My heart dost firmly grip

I know what's at stake.

Life is an act of worship.

LIKE A TREE

Be like a tree planted by a flowing river,

yielding so much fruit its limbs sag under the weight.

Humble yourself so that His light will shine here

within your heart and it shall illuminate

the lives of those with whom you interact.

Lord, let not the cares of the world distract

me from meditating on Your word. Let me

be like a tree planted by a flowing river,

yielding so much fruit its limbs sag under the weight.

Humble myself so that Your light will shine here

within my heart and it shall illuminate

the lives of those with whom I interact.

HYSTERICAL

They said I was being hysterical,

when I told them about the miracle

You performed in my life.

Pain, sin, guilt were rife

in the stone I called a heart.

Your love made that stone

softer than a dog's squishy toy

and filled it with joy.

I no longer feel all alone.

The moment I knelt in surrender

before You and declared

“my selfish ways end here

for I am impaired

by my own sin.

Lord, I invite You in

make my heart Your temple,”

I was born anew. So simple,

it was, to come to You.

Yet, when I told them about this miracle,

They said I was being hysterical.

Thankful to the One Above

I am for the opportunity to bless others

whether it's through a kind word

someone's heart with Your love.

For any opportunity, Lord,

to serve You, I am thankful.

For this blesses my soul.

BECAUSE CHRIST WAS SACRIFICED

Adam, with him, he took us all

When he so stubbornly did fall.

But forgiveness can be

ours because of God's compassion.

Upon the cross, He bore our sin,

but the tomb is empty.

The Pure Lamb was sacrificed.

Taking on our sinfulness, Christ

paid for our sin so vile.

But His tomb became empty

on the third day. Now we can be

free of our sin so vile.

Heaven is now my home sweet home.

As a pilgrim I simply roam

this little blue sphere

fishing for souls fishing for souls.

I shall keep fishing for for souls

as long as I am here.

Because Christ was sacrificed.

Taking on our sinfulness, Christ

paid for our sin so vile.

But His tomb became empty

on the third day. Now we can be

free of our sin so vile.
