Jesus Christ

He Had To Come

He looked upon the ones He loved;
So innocent and so free;
Their beauty was beyond compare;
Of all His creation they were the best;
Instilled in them was freewill;
Could they survive the test?

He had to come.

The serpent was so crafty;
The serpent was the enemy;
It set out to deceive His love;
Things would never be the same;
The serpent would cause Him so much pain.

He had to come.

The fruit appeared so tempting;
The serpent's words rang true;
Was the man to trust in God;
Surely he would not die;
Yet die he did for a single bite.

He had to come.

There was now a new man;
This man was Abraham;
He set out for a new country;
It was a country yet to be;
The promise was to be fulfilled.

He had to come.

Abraham had no children;
Yet God's promise was to be fulfilled in him;
How could this come to be;
When he had no offspring;
Yet Abraham never doubted God.

He had to come.

Some generations later;
The characters have now changed;
The children of Abraham are slaves;
Their groaning reaches God's ear;
He will not leave them alone.

He had to come.

God plagued the nation of Egypt;
The Passover was put in place;
The children of Abraham escaped by His might;
A new nation was now born;
Moses was their leader.

He had to come.

At a place called Sinai;
The covenant was given;
It pointed out to man what sin was;
It could not redeem them to Heaven;
It was sealed in blood.

He had to come.

The covenant required obedience;
It required the sacrifice of a lamb;
Sin was atoned for by the sacrifice;
Yet no lamb could be found to fit the bill;
It had to be the perfect Lamb.

He had to come.

He was born in Bethlehem;
The gift of God to man;
He would preach for a mere three years;
During that time He would change the world;
He would be murdered for His effort.

He had to come.

The cross was cruel and agonizing;
He could have came down and walked away;
This was why He had come;
It would set things right;
It was His Father's will.

He had to come.

When He died the curtain was torn in two;
The dead came from their tombs;
The soldiers themselves knew then who He was;
He was the perfect Lamb;
He was the end of sacrifice.

He had to come.

Death could not hold Him;
He rose to walk again;
He finished what was started;
Now he was seen by many witnesses;
He ascended back to His throne.

He had to come.

He looked upon the one He loved;
Restored back to her first state;
It had been worth the price he paid;
His glory was now supreme;
She was His bride forevermore.

He had to come.

Author's Notes/Comments:

He did not have to come but love compelled Him. Therefore He Had to come.

He Is Me

The sun is bright as ever, washing me in bands of heat, I'm hanging in the air as nails impale my hands and feet,
I know that I am dreaming on some night I'm deep in sleep, I'm dreaming that I'm Jesus, I am Him and He is me.

The pain is unlike anything I've ever felt before, I hear some scream for blood while I hear others yell for more,
they have me on what looks to be a wooden crucifix, my body's like the letter 'T', you should envision this,

but me I feel the horror from the beatings that they gave, while some would call it torture, I endured it just to save,
humanity's descendants but my name is used in vain, I feel my life is draining as my head descends in shame.

I perservered for many hours, 9 to be exact, to witness this would render all your mentals non-intact,
just picture me a moment, on the cross between 2 thieves, they broke their legs and knees but they did not do this to me.

I smell a scent and think of death, it's all inside my mind, I'm shrouded as I die but I will surely have my time,
for 3 days later here I am, I died to rise again, atoning for the sins of all the women and the men.

The children of this world should comprehend the very role, I play inside of daily life to save their very soul,
just look at modern day events, the evidence is clear, no need for me to verify the end is very near.

Some folks will think of church, that very thought will make them hurt, well ponder the alternative, there're some who'll make it worse,
while yes I love the lot of you, my children one and all, you need to make it better otherwise you're gonna fall.

I wake up in my bed amidst a startle, oh I'm safe, I race into the bathroom and the mirror shows my face,
I wipe the sweat realizing everything that seems to be, that ALL of us are Jesus, we are Him, and He is me.

This effort was based on a dream I actually had where I witnessed Jesus being crucified.

Love Me for Me

Can you begin to know all of my fears?
Have you ever thought of all the pain that I hide?
A face covered on the inside with tears...
just wants to live again tonight.

I can't believe
That you don't know what you have done.
You have broken me!
You've torn me up inside,
made me hate my life,
but most of all you've made me see
that I derserve someone who loves me for me.

I can't begin to know everything about you,
and I have never thought about what scars you might bear.
A soul that fills itself with thoughts untrue...
just wants to believe and hear

that i still believe
That we can live, and we're not alone.
Fear has broken you!
Torn your soul up tonight,
made you hate your life,
and it's making you see too
that you deserve someone who loves you for you...

In all this life all I have seen coming from the other side
are misgiving thoughts from a hopeful mind
that somehow, someday, someone would come along and
make it all worth going through.
I thought that person was you!
I must have been wrong though I have tried to be strong!
I keep forgetting that it's not all about me...

I still believe
that the everlasting God knows what He's doing.
He's carring me,
healing up my insides,
giving me new life,
and most of all He's making me see
that no matter what...He loves me for me!

I think it will speak to itself to those who get it...

Crazy Monkey Bars

I'm on my shepherd boy swag, King David
Graduated from lions and bears to giants, Sling Major
The barriers been broken, direct access
embracing you haters, make you livid
now i'm educated, here's my ledger
now open the Bible Gates, Texas
The flood will wash away the suds of corruption,
so we wash rinse and lather with the scrub of his unction
so question my connection
I've already cast my vote for re-election
time is our most valuable asset
yet we reject it, waste it, kill it and spend it
rather than invest it
my stock was struck but rebuilt, twin towers
gather around the structure,
as I reveal His powers
it reels men in like fish
to save them from the drought,
he catches us for life and never takes the hook out,
saved from the furnace
we won't be served at the cook out
so stop holding your breath and open the gates
stop the complications and close the casket
and surve the only worthy Father
or face the unfaceable,
a case you can't pay in full,
the kiss of betrayal is nigh upon a raging bull,
who was led like a lamb but raise like a lion,
he will wage war on all enemies of Zion
now go head, decide ur poison
and cultivate the heat from your furnace, Dante
Convert now, for we all fall short and Romans 3:28
now Caution yourself for a residual lesson
you have to hold your breath to catch wind
of the spiritual essence,
once you die
then you can live in His heavenly presence
so, wait till the last second
and take a chance at being denied access
once the lungs deflate
there’s no chance to cash that check,
been castrated
can't be reproduced in his likeness
Cascading through the flesh,
doesn’t innate a spiritual blessing , You hallucinating
So become a righteous stickler,
an ignite prayers
Stone cold believers,
attract likeminded warriors
Control, alt, delete; start it over
Now stop stallin,
get with Christ,
become a true baller
Still lingering, disappointed, Dried up,
parch, disgusted; cotton mouth
Trust in the plan and illuminate through valley; rebirth
it's black and white like Obama,
can't miss it, black mamba,
Kobe in his prime
it's discussion open,
chime in at anytime
like waiting for that phone call
to hear Him say
Well done my son, great job,
we praise God so loud it shakes the stars,
breaking out the cage
while we spit these crazy monkey bars

A Cruel Reality

a cruel reality - money fame & lust
They claim to be victims in a system of society,
young men raised to have women in variety,
cash makes you dope
and fame gives you power,
this is the good life
we make it rain like a shower
Tantalized by roundness,
with infuriating competition,
distilled by failure,
and fulfilled by culminations
but enthralled by illuminations,
figures of a seductive silhouette
but can't see it's the body of Satan
derailing the minds complexity,
but enthralled by her tongue, Latin
strange woman,
she hangs on em
and preys on em,
with a kiss
she kills Adams' descendants
so they develop vixen disconnect,
and establish cash flow,
becoming constituted to their dinaros
as Esteem becomes routine,
confiscating under table hooks,
while praising adulterous tendencies
and accommodating diablo looks
Until your face becomes a painting in Picaso's book, disfigured
a snare straight through your liver
dysfunctions force reflection, go figure
the cruel reality,
lust made'em suspect
emerging like a rose from the concrete, Shakur,
and now scientology invested, for respect
took more shots than the wild wild west
they told her,
her only assets where her legs and her chest
so at night she couldn't rest unless a man was in the nest,
One day it finally led to an arrest
the cruel reality
the money fame & lust became dust, twin towers

Love Never Fails

What is love?

Love is obedience.
Love is "givenness" to another.
Love is sacrifice.
Love is hearing.
Love is listening.
Love is searching.
And love is found.

Love is quiet wistfulness,
a peace when one is near a friend.

Love is fierce selflessness,
a resolve to give one's life.

Love is resolute patience,
in trying times of another's selfishness.

Love is sometimes "tough love,"
but it never seeks anything but good.

Love is hard to give and hard to find,
but both pursuits are worthwhile.

And love is often overlooked or not appreciated,
but love should not cease.
Love ought to endure forever.

True love is pure gold,
and most of us only possess the alloy,
the impure, incomplete.

And God's Word says this,
that "love is patient, love is kind.
it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
it does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with truth.
it always protects,
always trusts,
always hopes,
always perseveres.
Love never fails..."

Perhaps it is we, who fail to love?
Because if God is love, then love is divine.

And we can only love this fully
by the power of God.

In all honesty...

Listen. Look inwardly, and just listen very carefully. And look intently at who you are, look deeply into yourself - beyond what is superficial, beyond what is obvious and take account of what lies beyond that. Your soul.

Are you doing well? Are you hurting? Is their bitterness at God, or at a friend, or even an enemy? Are you really okay, right now, and could you be content if this moment was your very last on this earth?

If you see something you don’t like (and this will come to be), then you have a human condition known as brokenness, and you are in good company. Well, “good” would be perhaps the wrong way to put it - we are very bad at being “good” to each other and to ourselves and to God. Often, we fail at this. The room gets dark, moods go south, and ever so deeply we know that something isn’t right. We sin - we step out of light into darkness, we walk from life to death, our words do not bless but rather curse.

So, what is the meaning of it all, that somethings be judged as sinful, and others anything but? How can there be such a Law without a Lawgiver? Jump off a cliff, and by gravity you will fall to your death; and so does the sum of our curse words, our jealousies and hate, and our many other damaging ways lead to no other end than death. That’s a serious claim, but really think about it. Search your heart. Do you feel the need to be changed, the need to be delivered?

So listen. Really try, and pray to God you see clearly - God’s on your side, and wants to help you. In fact, He’s got an answer for these problems - Jesus Christ died so you won’t face death (I’m not talking about a physical death). We need to learn to humbly take Jesus Christ as Lord (as Master, for whom our life is given to) and Savior (as the one who atones for our sins by himself dying, though we ourselves should feel the consequence).

I know this isn’t popular or pleasant to hear. But I care enough about you that I want you to know it. This is the Good News of the Christians, that you find new life and are in fact a new man, not doomed to the weightiness of death. Though the entire world run against you, will you trust Jesus Christ to have conquered death? And do you want more than a mission to live on earth and make gains, only to lose them when you die? Are you willing to accept the adoption into God’s family? Are you okay with God being with you everyday to encourage you, His indwelling Spirit living in you?

I’m telling you, as one who struggles with life many days, its worth everything to me.

To Know You More

To know you more.

To love you Lord,
by actually caring
for the poor, the sick, and despairing
and those who are dying
each and ev-er-ry day.
To heal the hurt and love the unloved
of the land where love is contraband, hands
full of guilt not free, fully engaged
in saving their souls, hearts enraged
against wrongs done them but closed to grace,
closed to the King of Kings, closed to the very One
who changes everything.
(Stop living in
battles won and lost)
Doesn't matter the cost for the lost are out there
and they don't know you.
So this is my prayer.

Lord Jesus -
To know you more.

Walking with Jesus

I stand there, staring at three wooden crosses from the base of a hill.
On those crosses are hanging three men, one innocent, and two guilty of their crimes.
The time comes. It starts raining, and all of a sudden I get a cold chill.
I think to myself "What have I done?" as I realize that it's time.

Within seconds the storm grows fierce, but the wind doesn't blow me away.
Shielding my eyes, I look up at them as panic and confusion grow.
A dove flies past, and a guard draws back as the man in the middle says
"Father, why have you forsaken me?". Then He looks at me, and I know.

Emotions slip past as I realize who I have just heard.
As the guard readies to stab through time seems to stop. The man sees me, and says "I do this for you."
The spear pierces His skin through to the heart, and as the earth trembles I see flying a white bird.
I fall to my knees and begin to weep ashamed that I didn't have a clue.

Three days pass, and a stone is rolled back while the guard was there wide awake.
Looking upon Him for the first time, I can't believe my eyes!
For in front of me standing now is the man in the middle who gave his life that day.
He looks at me from a far off land, and says "Don't worry, I'm alright."

I run to him, fall to my knees, and yes I did weep.
As I cried this man lowered His hand, and placed it upon my head.
"Now you understand" he said, and I replied "Yes, my Lord Jesus Christ, you died for me."
He smiled and raised His hand. Then He laughed aloud and said "I'm right here living! How can I be dead?"

As I stood up I began to understand that this Man was not just a man, but He is the Son of Man.
I looked to Him, and then I grinned saying "I'll follow You anywhere. Please take me in."
Motioning towards a beach, He looked at me, and said "Let's take a walk here, and leave our footprints in the sand."
"When you grow tired, I will carry you." He said, and as I started to ask he cut me off "In a second for you, I'd do this all again. Take my hand."

Author's Notes/Comments:

I tried to think what it would be like if I witnessed the Crucifixion, and rebirth of Jesus Christ first hand, and then moved on from there.
