this poem is not finished

Everyones family has its ups and downs there is no perfect family

The reason I wrote this poem is I just had a baby in December and I want to have something that she could read when she is older to know how much I love her.

I'm closer to my mother than I am to anybody else and happily dedicate this to her
My Mother just passed shortly before Thanksgiving 2011 and I sent her off with these words.
I hope one day to save enough money to engrave them on a headstone for her.
Rest in peace mom, you will be missed.

The first part, is me about me...although some of it is probably about the "me" of the past, someone I am not anymore.  The middle 2 paragraphs are about Rachael and Chris...my two best friends who have been there for me the longest- thanx so much for everything!  The last paragraph is basically an explanation.

Everyoen in my family is an artist in some way, but we never talk. We generally ignore each other and bicker with inane insults.

I wrote this when I first found out I was going to be a mommy....she's now 20-years old and married...:)  the love being 'done' was my child...sounds like I thought of her as a food source...lol
