I can't think of better: I can't think of better advice than to slow down, unplug, get a grip. In fact, this prescription for emotional health could save someone's life. Yes, corporate greed and our collective stress has turned this whole thing into an almost farcical nightmare. I've been detaching myself from the media as well. I feel twenty pounds lighter!    "If you can breathe, you're fine, thus far." That's the best we can do. Just thank God we can breathe, and I can really embrace this: "If you're going to die, die well." You got it right. Just live!    You're a voice of reason. Always enjoy reading you.

This spare yet power-packed: This spare yet power-packed little beauty is very much like a painting: it tells a story with shrewdly chosen images that blaze deep into the mind and stay there after the last line is read. There's a sense of profound tragedy as the narrator, entrenched in loneliness and focused on the safe and the familiar, fails to accept a potentially life-changing gift of friendship.    Superb. 

Thank you for your brilliant: Thank you for your brilliant critique that humbled, encouraged and enlightened me. I chose a female metaphor as an allusion to several ancient traditions where the moon is associated with goddesses and the phases of a woman's life (maiden, mother, crone), but you are correct that gender plays a very small part, if none at all, in our true identity and our ultimate journey because our beingness, our essence, transcends gender and even form if you venture inward enough.    I apologize for any unintentional suggestion that one gender is superior to another. Differences compliment each other, keep things interesting and beautiful, but ultimately, we are one in this cosmic dance.    I'm delighted that you gave Starward the recognition he so greatly deserves.
