This is what you get when you: This is what you get when you put profit above people. I might use this information the next time someone is singing the praises of deregulation. Very important facts.

Some killer wit here! This: Some killer wit here! This would certainly stand out from all the cliche, cookie-cutter, insincere drivel on social media (And I'm not even looking for dating content!).    "red carpet yoga mat" That's pure gold. Love it!!!

You captured Tumbleweed's: You captured Tumbleweed's artistry with dazzling finesse; amazing that your imagination continued to shine through even when sedated. I can't string two coherent lines together when I'm heavily medicated.    This is a finely-woven addition to your Ad Astra series. I'm hoping I'll have the pleasure of reading more when you're feeling better. Take care of yourself. God bless.

First, I'm truly sorry to: First, I'm truly sorry to hear about your ordeal and the fact that you're still suffering. My prayers and best wishes go out to you. I certainly didn't expect a review, and a profound one at that, while you're in the hospital so I'm deeply touched that you took the effort to read and leave such astounding footprints.    As always you discern my intent, then hit the bullseye with surprising precision and expansive insight. Your stellar reflections are poetry itself and more appreciated than you can imagine.    Hoping and praying that you'll recover soon and finish your own celestial collection.    Countless thank you's!

Starward commented on: Julius Caesar by saiom 2 years 26 weeks ago
When I studied Ancient: When I studied Ancient History, I very fastidiously avoided Julius Caesar.  I was aware of the 6000 pirates he had ordered crucified, after capture, in vengeance for kidnapping him earlier.  As for being a barbarian sadist, one of his most virulent critics---the Poet, Catullus---does not mention this aspect.  So, help an old History Major out, if you would, and tell me your sources.  I should like to read more about that.

Forceful (pushback), raw: Forceful (pushback), raw account of being gaslit by a spouse, as a wife and mother. Poetically, fine word play with line pairs such as "I'm so overbearing / bear our child". "Stand alone" is the theme that sows it together quite tightly, but standing alone is not a place to be left in any partnership, particularly not one founded on principles of love. Wishing you better.

Good people often make: Good people often make history, but rarely are they the writers of history. That "honor" goes to to the victors, and victory is generally attained by blood.

This sounds like wall block: . Margin Call, 2008 crash - gvt bail out. 2 big 2 Fail - another one, so that we could have this. Tightrope walking - taxing rich may not work either. Next: The R Word worse than cursing. So what is cure - time, a few more businesses fold. Meanwhile, usa is broke and what - it all falls down. . Lost value where no one wins, no one goes unscathed, the big bath and usa becomes a 3rd world country? World supply chain melts. EU collapses with the dollar worth ten cents. If giving up is hard to do, starting over is going to be a bastard! The Depression will look like a picnic. Let us again raise our glasses to Elon Musk. ~A~.

Starward commented on: Palm Trees Defronded For Palm Sunday by saiom 2 years 26 weeks ago
The Christmas Tree is a pagan: The Christmas Tree is a pagan symbol that Christians have spiritualized.  However, I think the Four Gospels indicate that the use of palm fronds in the Palm Sunday was permitted by Jesus.  To my recollection, only the priests and pharisees objected.  I would suggest the use of palm fronds in worship might even predate Christianity by being present in the 2nd Temple Judaism which was thriving before and during Christ's ministry.  Had this been a violation of God's precepts, I doubt that He would have kept silent, or that His Church would have encouraged the palms' use in Palm Sunday liturgies.

Tree Tales: I lived under a palm tree for several months. Once it stabbed me right in the eye, when I was arising from bedsheets on the morn. "Spikey plants shall no longer be!" shouted my buddy in blasphemy.
