So Much To Contend: Like demons, mine are reading and writing - over 70 + years and a bit of impatience; it seemed safer. Each generation has greater choices, a larger offering to transcend chaste barriers. 04-29-22 our fam saw another niece bachelored. One nephew headed to Eastern University, one (my grandson) two point five years from B.S. in Engineering. I was the first in my side of the fan to go to college. Got daughter through Colmbia. It has been a sacrifice of lifetimes. I will die smiling - not worried about excellent fam leadership. A million hours of study. Bravo us! We choose our demons.

More Ups Than Downs: And downs were solved or healed in time. Wondrous - we lived in the best time in history. LP's, micro chips, INDOOR PLUMBING, wondrous.

By the way, I'd like to add: By the way, I'd like to add what I meant to point out most, which is the following: I think you, and people like you, are much better representatives for veganism or vegetarianism than those names above. My comment about them being anything but a slight against you.
According to at least 1: According to at least 1 study, 20 billion would get all homeless people off of the street and into shelter of their own. Dying empires always find money for war. They generally die from the inside out, rather than the reverse.
Thank you, as always, for both your insight and your support.
I wish I could look back on: I wish I could look back on my many years and call it "wondrous living". (Love that definition!) A well-crafted view of your grand adventure.
A heavy, verbal walk: ..in your shoes is offered in your raw, emotive, visual penning that plays out as several acts in a play. Walk accepted by this person, though this write, I know, just a few steps in your journey through consequence, to deserved rebirth, and - I hope - a real opportunity to build a future. Forgiveness is not something our society believes in as much as it should. I pray that your writing will keep you strong through the struggle. All the best.
Each poem is a powerful frame: Each poem is a powerful frame in the human adventure; each portrait weaves everyday details into an emotionally gripping story. I'm in awe of your ability to strike numerous cords of emotion with beauty, grace and efficiency.
Eventually we have to look at: Eventually we have to look at the aftermath of society's failures and dysfunction. You sketched it so well: not one word wasted and every word crucial and every sharp line plummeting to the natural conclusion of disappointments and rage. Stark reality, brilliantly penned.
