We shouldn't be but: We shouldn't be but oftentimes we are scared and long to be at ease in our own skin and well-receiving of our inner conflicts, like that proverbial 'man in the mirror' or that recording of our voice by any form of media. A tangential thought is that the fear of technology may have its predication of this major factor - the mirror effect and the self-critic. And boy, can it be maddening. Thanks for sharing.
We're all human and we all: We're all human and we all have lives to live. I never take it personal if a person misses a question or fails to make an acknowledgment. I often do that myself so I can't judge anyone else. All we can do is try our best to live well and be kind to others. There is no need to apologize for being human. We're grateful for the small amount of interaction we have.
Another excellent treatment: Another excellent treatment of ancient myth! Although the subject matter and setting are eerie, the poem is still beautiful.
I like how you encapsulize: I like how you encapsulize the whole myth in this brief, but powerful, poem. And while some of the ancient poets wou;d have us believe that Achilles waited for Polyxena after he entered Elysium, I somehow suspect he might have entered that storied realm with an eye out for Patroclus, who had arrived there ahead of him.
Thank you. I have two pre-op: Thank you. I have two pre-op tests to pass, tomorrow and Tuesday; then Wednesday check in is 10am, procedure begins at noon.
