Apology For Failures To Reply

I was shocked (and highly disappointed with myself) to learn, while making corrections among my poems, that I had failed to reply to a very complimentary comment from one of postpoems' most senior Poets.  I immediately replied with an apology for the failure.

For years now, I have tried to acknowledge comments that are placed on my poems. and I have not always been thoroughly successful in this attempt.  I believe that the failure to at least acknowledge a comment or a PM with a "thank you" is one of the requisites of basic courtesy.  And if someone poses a question, a poet here at postpoems is, in my opinion, obligated to at least acknowledge the question; and, if preferring not to answer, saying so . . . rather than just continuing in passive silence.  I will not name names on this one.

If I have, at any time, failed to acknowledge a comment from you, or have failed to respond in some way to a question, please forgive me.  As I page through my poems making corrections, or adjusting certain details to provide accurate internal connections within the poems, I have found some of these failures; and I try to correct each one as I discover it.  I have not founf many, one or two recently; but being enormously fallible, I suspect there are others I have missed.  I ask your forgiveness, and I will try to make it right.

We're all human and we all

We're all human and we all have lives to live.  I never take it personal if a person misses a question or fails to make an acknowledgment.  I often do that myself so I can't judge anyone else.  All we can do is try our best to live well and be kind to others.  There is no need to apologize for being human.  We're grateful for the small amount of interaction we have.
