Gritty and real for sure. It: Gritty and real for sure. It all turns round into a perfect excuse for the primal thought response and vernacular description under the gentlemanly guise of intellectual discourse. I've missed you so much, I've also been away so much. Sad news another great gone... are you still here?

That's quite the feeling: That's quite the feeling about most of my writes: just stuffing to fill out the gaps in the otherwise awkward writing silences.

You've "created" the black dot on the blank canvas.: Yours is more amusing, though. And won't insanely go for a massive sum of money (sorry).

Poetry that carries some: Poetry that carries some thematic and emotional connection to many of the best works of the music band Staind, and also some shades of U2's With or Without you. Yet, it feels so deeply personal that it is owned by you and your muse, alone, and likewise there are some expressions here that seem to be undeniably and deeply all your own: "Yes, the memories are faded. Some smiles yesteryear became banned yesterday."   Those two lines, being my favorite.

lyrycsyntyme commented on: ONE LINERS by georgeschaefer 1 year 47 weeks ago
I would offer this expansion: I would offer this expansion on your take: Battles that exist in a certain collective mind. That's the tribal element, wouldn't you agree? The need to feed, also, the desire to be connected, how ever that connection comes - even to the extend, in some instances, of a shared bloodlust. I think this is, in no small part, why it's easy to observe one political faction rail against a certain behavior by their perceived opponent, till "their side" does/supports it. If the desire to win to feed a certain emptiness was based on individual desires, it seems to me that such sudden hypocritical shifts would be far less frequent, to perhaps very rare.   Anyhow, in times of great disconnection, this pathos should grow (which I believe we witness today across our society in many different forms and clusters).

People are motivated by: People are motivated by desires to win battles that exist only in their own mind.  They always want more because they fill themselves up with a lot of food that lacks substance.

lyrycsyntyme commented on: What's the point? by humanfruit 1 year 47 weeks ago
Sorry, myself - No judgement intended: Only meaning to say that, sometimes, it helps to look at life's hardships from several angles to understand all that is at play, and thereafter the most healthy solutions. And I know you are fond of responding to poetry with poetry, so I thought it might be a receptive way of saying that.   Rather than thinking in terms of "faults" and absorbing punches from yourself, as well, think of how celestrial and terrestrial bodies interact. One feeds another feeds another. Gravity pulls us in. Figure out where the chain breaks, if you are looking to change the outcome.

You're welcome, and yes,: You're welcome, and yes, there are always blessings. We must chase them, or simply seek them, as much as anything we might need.
