When you're standing on the edge
Almost ready to give in
Looking down over the cliff
Wondering when the fall begins

It's hard to know
And hard to trust
The feelings show
The thoughts are just

But for some reason it's hard to just let go
There's a risk involved and you feel you just don't know
If the take-away is worth what you put in
Will you take a chance or let all of your fears win

You're standing on the edge
Not so ready to give in
Looking down over the cliff
Not sure when the fall begins

You've chased a lie
Too many times
And it's hard to trust what you feel inside
It's hard to know which of these paths is right
Push through the doubt, but don't erase it from your mind
Let it all out, and don't let shelter cloud your life
