I can't forget that first glance
you took my breath away
I wanted to take a chance....
I remember our very first dance
it felt so right, the way I fit in your arms
our bodies so close, the heat, our heartbeats....
We couldn't stop looking deeply into each others eyes
when the music stopped it was so hard saying our goodbyes
then the music started to play and again our hearts danced....
You swept me away body and soul
your eyes told me stories I already knew
and I have never felt this way before....
Like thunder and lightening belong together
like the sun and moon distant lovers
like the stars and milky way we are forever connected....
I know I'll never love this way again
I tried to move on and let go thinking it would be better
I know now that is not possible....
You are and always will be a part of my heart
my soul, and every breath I take from this moment on
It happened with that first glance so long ago....
