When I was young,
Gullible and afraid,
I was sure monsters,
Were evil, scary, and a mixture of creatures.
That such monsters,
With fangs of tigers and arms of octopi,
Were hiding in my closet,
To eat me if I fell down.
But now that I am older,
Yet still gullible and afraid,
I am sure that monsters,
Look just like me and you.
As some wise guy once
As some wise guy once mentioned .... We stop seeing the Monsters under our bed .. when we start understanding them 'amongst' us ...
Simple & an erudite piece !!! Great Stuff !!
He who knoweth himself ... knoweth the world ....
Oh, they definitely look like
Oh, they definitely look like me and you! Watch out for those monsters. Sometimes they look as innocent as sheep.

Yeah, learned this the hard way. But you know what? I learned.
My friend says she is going to wear her regular clothes and go trick-or-treating this year. She is going as a Serial Killer. Because, she says, you could never pick them out of a crowd. They look just like you and me.
