OH MOUNTAIN LAUREL
Oh mountain laurel
how I miss the
morning dew
lying on your
rambling beds.
The soft greenery,
tender leaves,
your lush blossoms
keeps calling me.
Oh mountain laurel
your sweet scent,
fresh lasting aroma
never escapes me.
Images of your
beauty fascinate,
your colors are
brilliant,
the mountains sing
of your presence.
How I long to return,
listen to your
enchanting
evening song.
oh mountain laurel
there is no other like
you.
