As age starts gaining advantage over a person,
The hearts and minds start feeling their effect,
The bounce of youth loses its proportion,
Making many people tremble and shake.
Save those people who are physically active,
Eat the right diet and who sleep in peace,
Such are few but their inner gaeity,
Keeps them safe from even a sneeze.
I am training myself to stay in shape,
Not to develop the stoop of the gait,
Peace of body and mind are my balms,
And praying to God keeps me great.
I shall, God willing, not let the decades rob,
Me of the energy which in youth I had,
Turning to God, prostrating to sob,
Will, I am sure, not mske me a snob.
In this busy world of materialistic tastes,
Spirititualism is the remedy for peace,
Being thankful to God and remembering Him,
WIll never steal away one's youthful states.
Ir is true that I am sometimes very sad,
Depressed, gloomy, nothing to be glad,
But whenever I turn to my Loving Creator,
Peace of body, heart and mind take over.
I love my Almighty God, live in His Light,
And in His Love my days are ever bright,
Gloom, if it spreads its tentacles around me,
My Merciful God's Light always saves me.
Nice
I am reading this as I sit at the doctors, waiting for prognosis on my aging back and hip. Such synchronicity.
