I cry
When I think of you I cry
Love wasn’t supposed to feel this way
I thought love held you in its heart
Warm and friendly
Not this
Loving you hurts
I try not to think
I blame myself if I do
What was it that I did that caused you to look away
Or is it that you have become to familiar
That love has become too predictable for you
Have you hungered for that which I am not
Needing, wanting what I can not give
I long to hold and lash out at you in the same thought
But it is not in me to hurt you
How much longer can I stay
Hurting with the love I feel,
Afraid of the loneliness without you
Aching when I think of you
ouch i know

I feel the pain in this poem and I see a pattern from some of your other writings, and I know you said you have worked through all this and I truely hope it is so. May you have a happy holiday and may you really find happiness and joy with that special person.

Im crying right now. This is where I am. You captured my life in your poem and I amost wish I could send it to him. The part that got me so was "I long to hold and lash out at you in the same thought, but hurting you isnt in me." That is just perfectly said. Wonderful, Sad, Captivating Poem
