Within you

Within you

God told Moses: "I will walk with you"!

As He said before  to Abraham:

"Ill walk with you, - man just and true,

I'll walk with you that IS  -" I AM".

But then came  Archangel Gabriel,

Who  spoke differently to the maid:

" Within" you He'll send  Emanuel,

"Within" you, dear maid, - be not afraid..

Lo! - the Lord does seek to dwell "within",

Walk along side He deemed not enough,

For the One  who  busts what might have been

To  "accomplished" and then  died in love.

"Within" He takes  corporeity,

Takes on  human form and countenance.

This unfathomable deity

That sees eons in one single glance.

Rosy is the baby, sweet its smile,

The redeemer savior of the world,

Wishing men with  God to reconcile.

Has in Mary's  womb a  finger curled.

"Within" her  not only walking with,

Grows the babe, the  only one begot,

And "within"  the maid received the kiss

Of all-powerful and eternal God.

"Within you"  Messiah  prince  must grow,

It's "within"- not only walking with,-

Dwells the one to whom the seraphs bow,

Overwhelmed by  beautious Adonis.

Fear not ! but permit Him to  grow up

Who will take away the  stains  of sin,

Him who fills to overflow the cup,

But do fill it He must dwell  " within".

Stunned in awe musician poet bard

From whose "within" hyms and paeans spring,

Glory's Throne does have a human heart !

Glory, glory to the new born king.

If He is not born in you again

As your lover prince - thus speaks the bard*

To  set up His tent and take your heart

Then He went to Betlehem invain.

*Angelus Silesius - mystic poet
