A blaze of light, just shinning dim,
Of the shining moon, I had a whim.
With gathered thoughts, I rest aside,
I’ve lived my life, with all my pride.
Mixture of feelings, love and hate
Sipping wine, it feels so great
Spanking breeze, the sailor’s boon,
My thoughts are sailing to the moon.
Sound of silence, is what I want
Nothing serious, but just a jaunt
So many obstacles, I have to pass
Fighting with, gravitational mass
Life’s a battle that I fought
Weapon was, my abstract thought
Fought to win and I won it now
With the help of mighty God above
Peace is something everyone wants
Sadness is a piece that always haunts
Why can’t all men be happy as me?
This would happen if your mind was free
I asbolutly LOVE the message of this poem!!! The rhyme scheme is simple, and the word choice is powerful! As always, awesome work hon! :)
