Pay no attention to the Hawaiian words - I don't speak the language. "Ipo" refers to lover. "Ho'opunipuni" was referring to "false". "'Ohana" means "family". I wrote this for a guy who was beating on the point that he had a tremendous crush on me. I sort of had one on him, too, but I didn't want to get romantic, like he did. The original title was "To A Friend I Hope Never Sees This" because I was only going to show it to him if he kept going on about it. Happily, he didn't. It's over. And I think I was silly in the hibiscus bit.
