It's a little odd (wonderfully odd of course) after writing this, I was wondering how Easter corresponded to the Hebrew/Jewish calendar. This (March 26, 2009) was the first day of Nisan, the first month of the ecclesiastical year. Significance? This is ultimately a song about God's love for his church with romantic overtones. God had Moses change the start of their calendar (Exodus 12) to signify the ransom of Israel from out of Egypt. Clean slate, anyone?
