The hurt cuts deep
Like a scalpel gliding across skin
Thinking of never seeing you again
The thought of losing you, I must admit
Pierces my heart and cuts to the quick
I feel as though I’ve known you forever
Fading memories, young hearts
I can’t imagine every being apart
The thought of losing you, panics me still
I’m swept away with paper and quill
Your sweetness envelops and haunts me
A shadowy figure now, slowly erased
My heart grows colder, without your embrace
The thought of losing you, corrupts my mind
Permeating my psyche, lost in time
I shall never forget your gentle touch
That once brought me back to the light
Now that you’re gone, I cry out in the night
The thought of losing you, I can’t pretend
Tears at my soul from beginning to end
Go sweetness, perhaps we’ll meet again
I’ll settle for memories of your warm kiss
The thought of losing you, I must confess
Leaves me in total darkness
Loving you is the best and the worst
Two traveling companions that once were one
Go separately now, The thought of losing you,
Is reality now.
I must travel alone some how
Till I see you again next year.
