If Loneliness Was A Whisper

Author's Notes/Comments:

Sometimes loneliness can eat you alive.  I know because that's what happened to me.  Here is a poem that I think reflects not only me, but for everyone as well.  I think in each of us, there's a sort of loneliness that's always waiting to be experienced.  Loneliness is a whisper we strain to hear.  We try to understand what it's trying to say.  Once we do, sometimes you feel as if you're the only one heard it and others didn't.  They didn't hear the whisper loneliness tries to communicate.  All you can feel is to feel alone.

The Door

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this when I was really sad. I sat in my room and thought to myself no one is going to walk through that door.
It's always the points in your life when you need someone the most that the door stays shut.
