Profero Lux is Latin for "Bring forth the light." This poem has two interpretations. It can be read as a dialoge between a human sinner (odd verses) and Jesus (even verses). The second translation is an intimate song of the speaker to his beloved who must chose between eternal life with God (and the speaker) and eternal life in Hell. Death in this interpretation is not always a physical death, but hell (the Bible calls it the Second Death). The light the speaker shows to his beloved is Jesus (who said "I am the light unto the world"). This my favorite of my works, because it reflects my sadness for someone I love very much but who has yet to fully embrace Jesus. It is to this person this poem is dedicated
