Although, as an Orthodox: Although, as an Orthodox Christian, I disagree with the last line, I applaud the beauty of this poem, both for the beauty of its form, anf for the statement contained in the first five lines.

Ironic that Vlad Putin shares: Ironic that Vlad Putin shares a first name with Vlad Dracula, and that even more determined murderer, Vlad Lenin.  (Unfortunately, few share my belief that Lenin used Marxism, and dreamed up Leninism, to achieve one goal:  revenge upon the Czar's family for the execution of his brother, ordered by Nicholas I.)

Progress: Revisiom  may be started at university level. Education Minor is a joke. Rats in mazes - outmoded thought. Innovation needed in education badly. Grade 10 thru 12 based on Harvard or MIT framework with curriculum choice. No more general degree - a career choice based on real jobs. I know 1 size fits all. Hmmmm... . ~A~.

Your writing style is so direct, profound and elegant that every stanza is a "So true!" moment and an invitation to slow down and remember what's truly important; to remember what we're doing here.     There's no pretense of having a quick fix for our hyperindividualism and arrogance. You described it with unsparing clarity and brilliance:   "the world got big but it's not that we ever figured out where on the map our enemy is helps it feel okay to bomb the shit out of the distance"    And certainly pancakes aren't going to save the world. But as you said: It's "a good beginning" and it's certainly better than what we have been doing, which is more of what led us to this frightening moment.     Excellent.
