Thank you for the comment. I: Thank you for the comment. I apologize for the typos in the poem, which I have corrected today: at the time I wrote it, I was very ill, and very frightened of my illness (having not yet gotten use to it), and I was an evey worse proofreader than I am now (lol).
May the thief in each respond: May the thief in each respond likewise and unlike the other thief that responded with scorn and contempt, scoffing and mockery.
Thank you : your comment is right on time with what's happening today. I am planning on reciting the poem the daddy the dentist at a live event we are holding at a Coffee Roastery, Larrys Coffee, here in Raleigh. If you're on Facebook check out Freshly Brewed Poems . We're planning a live event at 3 o'clock till about five. I'm hoping the Live feed from the event will also be available to look at later. A lot of the younger poets are good at the spoken performances aspect of poetry. We have a number of very talented poets that attend our live events. Heron Clan is a zoom meeting of poets from an anthology thst I am in
thank you for all your words of encouragement.
Maybe: Some of your accolades are deserved. As long as the presenter isn't trying to talk you into something.
I don't think the bank is a good judge of character, based pn their behavior, so maybe a low bank balance is a sign of morality and good judgment nowadays. Maybe keep the awards and accolades and leave the portfolios and asset streams for weaker souls.
Sometimes what deeply bothers: Sometimes what deeply bothers us has to do with ourselves, ergo that seeking of deeper Faith. All else turn into shadows in the Light. Thanks for sharing.
How loudly this silent song: How loudly this silent song sings! Yes. And there are rooms in our lives that may be forgotten but contain so much of us and much of what we still carry and breathe in our todays. Thanks for sharing. /Rik.
This is the next best thing: This is the next best thing to attending one of your readings. It takes a special kind of skill to write spoken word poetry—the kind of free-flowing, emotion-packed, engaging lines that lend themselves to the oral tradition that is the root of poetry itself.
As I imagine these wonderful compositions being spoken with tone, inflection and feeling, I'm experiencing the poems on a new level.
It was a pleasure to read your very relatable, spontaneous and satisfying "Spring Came Regardless". This is the ordinary made meaningful and beautiful. You make it look easy, but this type of down-to-earth inspiration is actually difficult to pull off in a way that truly moves the reader. And I was moved and delighted. Precious words.
"Daddy the Dentist" seems perfectly tailored for performance poetry. It generates emotion with a heart-gripping story and soundwork to underscore the memories. Profound simplicity.
Applauding your presentation.
I always suspected that the: I always suspected that the people who arrive at ultimate truth, who carve a path through all the world's propaganda and programming, are those who are brave enough to consider that they could be wrong. This rare ability to put aside fear and pride and be open to new ideas shines bright in your inclusive, wise and teachable outlook.
It's also impressive that you avoid the temptation to make knee-jerk conclusions based on emotion.
I'm making a bold statement here, but I honestly believe that this perspective, if shared by many, could make this world a far better place.
Very enlightened guidance to grow by.
