Sublime mourning for abandoned potential: You can learn a lot about the eyes of a person by the first thing they mention when asked about what they seek in the world/another/themselves. Your eyes don't fail you, as far as I can see.

Thank you: Thanks for the critique! I love mythology - In Greek mythology, Lethe was one of the five rivers of the underworld of Hades. Also known as the River of Unmindfulness, those who drank from its waters experienced complete forgetfulness/oblivion. It has an intimate meaning to me, as I have battled drug addiction for most of my adult life.

Poetry on the ancient Greek: Poetry in the ancient Greek sense was not of rhyme but cadence and elegance in eloquence... rhymes were happenstance or for impact. Best thank nursery rhymes and good times for our ignorance I enjoyed this poem! Well done !

It brings me much joy to read all the analysis in all the poems, they encourage me to read them often by your critiques and stunning comparisons I enjoy your poetry no matter if I feel uncomfortable or fit perfectly in the well worn eloquence, there is always an experience  to be had
