Fireflies

Even the fireflies, realize...

how much you love me.

I didn't believe them,

when they told me.

I thought ~ no, no, all lies.

Yet, they flitter around us, still...

leaving thier soft glow upon our souls.

I couldn't know how much it showed until...

they chose to enlighten,

illuminate, dilate, radiate, elate...my emotional state.

Your sighs, fireflies, your sighs, fireflies...

This is a beautiful poem Geneva. I like your style of writing, very interesting. The last line is beautiful, rhyming with fifth line, which is a unique rhyming scheme. Keep up the good work.

Hi Geneva.... this has a different style of writing to it..and wow, very refreshing. Romantic, with tints of the feelings of realization that the devotion is so deep indeed. I like this~!!! ps: do check out the critiques for my poem, Everyone of u.
