How can I be happy

If I never knew how to be

How can I not be a useless burden 

If that was all I knew to be

I want to be happy

But how to be escapes me

I don't want to be a useless burden 

But how can I not be

I wish I could be anyone else besides me

But thus is all I'll ever be

So please don't hate me

And just let me be.
