The Gentle Way

By

Richard Haesche

Why shout those words with anger

When a soft approach would do?

Why be callous, mean and sour?

You'll regret it, through and through.

Use a voice that's firm, but gentle.

Let persuasion have its way

You'll profit from your new approach

And live a better day.

Take a lesson from the shepherd

Listen to his kind remarks,

He's always kind and gentle,

It's his DOG that always BARKS!

Author's Notes/Comments:

If only everyone could use the gentle approach, how much better off the world would be... and how much more love would it know?
