A man without a friend can't be alive.
Without a single friend will he survive?
What deep disturbance leaves him so alone
And empty like a big no-parking zone?
What lies within that makes him so aloof
And leaves him so alone like some big goof?
Perhaps someday he’ll find the thing he seeks
Though surely it'll take a million weeks.
Perhaps his search will end beyond some star.
In any case, his journey will be far.
To start again upon some lonely shore
And be no further than he was before
Very vivid imagery for saying how I've felt myself so many times. Good job at expressing total aloneness. Been there. Done that. Thanks for sharing.
