Red White Blue
The television screamed "God Bless America"
Red white and blue were flowing like blood
The patriotic citizens stood waving little flags
So blissfully unaware
So blatantly apathetic
So conveniently uninformed
That thousands of miles across the ocean
Blood was flowing like crimson rain
As jets stained with the same little flags
Reaped chaos and fear
Reaped merciless death
Reaped unbridled animosity
While back across the dividing ocean
Red white and blue were flowing like blood

Though i dont neccessarily agree with your poem, it is an exellent work from the standpoint that you really portay well what you are trying to make us see. Thankyou for sharing it and no matter what, always express what you believe-whether people agree or not, for that is part of being a free person. Look foward to reading more in the future.

Damn straight. People in the middle east are stereotyped as the enemy, and innocent blood flows so easily, overlooked by the American citizens. Because people were killed in September doesn't mean that the people there that are already terrorized by their own people should be murdered. A load of shit is right. Rock on.

Excellent. Why kill so many looking for one man? Our government can be so blind. What he did was wrong, but what did the citizens do to us? After killing and hurting their citizens we send food and resources. What was that all about? We should have never hurt the people in the first place. You wrote about a controversial topic and it helps show the side of the people who suffered because of us while we celebrate for hurting them. Once again excellent poem and topic.
