The ego in me still sometimes spreads bitter taint. Let the "born again" in me, Lord, impose retraint, lest the world think I backslid to what I ain't.

i like the rhyming of taint restraint and aint
and it makes me think
that churches can their outsides paint .. but inside.. following the pacifist Christ, they aint
but it doesn't really matter what the world thinks of you.. for if you are doing good the world will hate you, says Jesus
