BETWEEN FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Between Family and Friends
We come to stop Myths about HIV,
Cuz ignorance tore apart families.
When people are sick they need love and attention,
So we come to restore lost affection.
In the homes, community the world,
No one should be hurled.
Into a dark life of loneliness,
No one deserves to live like this.
Homeless, jobless, friendless,
Their inner pain is endless.
And what about innocent babies,
Being cast aside like pennies.
Because you see them as less than,
Or a horror stricken villain.
You can't catch HIV from cuddlin,
Huggin, talking, or buggin.
We're easin their pain with loving,
Between family and friends.
Between Family and Friends
We're like the knot that holds two ropes together,
We're the founders of lost love.
To reunite parents & children,
Smiles are consequences of love sent to them.
& the time spent battling accepted lies,
every one wants to look in their hero’s eyes.
& say, you taught me well Thank You!
Before I depart can I share this time with you?
On another note or Spiritual Plane,
HIV is not a death sentence, simple & plain.
Just another reason to get back to the basics,
To be reminded of what God gave us.
The water, trees, sun & wind,
Self, soul, & true humble friends.
Not everyday or every moment last forever,
be true to self, get wiser & clever.

We come to rain, love taken away,
unconditional love is a cure - for traded heart gone astray.
We come to keep the lonely company,
For currupt power lives have been traded,
By minds that have been spaded by jading.
Between family & friends,
A new family begin.
Tears can comfortably fall now & forever,
Cause we'll leave you never.

Between family and friends. I am an allie to those living with HIV, you have taught to to learn to enjoy life. I pray that I have learned and live what you have taught me.
