DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

Crushed by depression,

The pressure everlasting,

None could forsee,

The jem life was casting.

Pain is my existance,

Hatred, anger, and distrust,

Pushing me slowly down,

To develope beneath the crust.

Hotter the inferno grows,

Making me stronger in the end,

Melting me into something new,

Now toward the surface I ascend.

Waiting to be accepted,

My life's been always tough,

But still I shine now in the sun,

A diamond in the rough.
