Is it wrong
to anticipate enthrallment?
To precipitate involvement
with a figure such as she?
Made of dreams
cradled by a man who's deplored
while his subconscious is explored
with maddened longevity.
Call it not
as you would such crimes committed -
their grisliness kept omitted
for the sake of family.

the duty of the mind to feed
a starved heart with fantasies
to save it.

Interesting thoughts, sivus. I'm not (nor have i ever been) one to fantasize, and especially so when it comes to love and intimacy. I see nothing wrong with it, in fact, there is a plethora of people right on this site who seem to spend a lot of time doing it...but I think it can be a dangerous thing for people in the world we live in, because sooner or later the fantasy ends, and sometimes the fantasizers can't accept it. It is the cause of a lot of mental and emotional turmoil in the world today. But that's just an opinion.
Still in all, provactive write. And yes, it's true ....there is a productive side to fantasy as well, because I mentioned before on another thread once, in times of war, men lusted heavily over stars like Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable, and other entertainers that did shows overseas. They looked foward to the arrival of those entertainers. Their human frailty to lust and fantasize gave them will to move on in their fight.
