Thousands of years ago,

Jesus died for you and me.

Hung on an old rugged cross,

for all the world to see.



For every drop of blood,

that hit the ground that day.

Another breath of his life,

was taken away.



Only for our sins,

Jesus was crucified.

nailed to a cross,

and soon thereafter died.



Can you even imagine,

all of his pain.

And all of this for us,

because his love was invain.



As his arms stretched out,

to be nailed to each side.

He said "this is for you",

and hung his head and cried.
