To My Daughter Maria A blessing From God
When my daughter was born,
God blessed me so much.
She had every feature,
including that daughter's touch.
As she grew older,
I watched constantly.
To see if her features,
would resemble me.
I want her life to be different,
and take one day at a time.
I asked God to watch over her,
because she's the only daughter of mine.
God's done a good job,
at keeping her heart pure.
So far she helps everyone,
even if she's not sure.
So I know when she gets older,
and reaches adulthood.
That God will help her as always,
be especially good.
Your daughter has a truely gifted mother. The poem is beautiful and you can feel the love throughout the poem.
I could really relate to your poem, I m aways praying for my children and I also have a daughter. I felt a sincereness in your writing as well as seeing the heart of the mother wanting better for her child
daughters are a beautiful thing i have two of my own and i shall not forget my son...but there is something about my daughters that keep me hanging on.
nice piece... keep writing

Such a heart-warming poem. It reminds me of my daughter...such a pure, unassuming heart. Great job!

This poem is very touching. Having children is God's greatest blessing. Here's a poem from my book that I wrote for my son:
GOD'S GIFT
God gave me a miracle,
He sent it from above;
God gave me a present,
and wrapped it up with love;
God gave me a special gift,
that filled my life with joy;
God gave me a bouncing baby boy.
God gave me a treasure,
more valuable than gold;
God gave me a newborn,
whose life I'll watch unfold;
God gave me the best prize
that I have ever won,
God gave me a precious little son.
this was wonderful. that is tha sweetest and tha best poem i've read all nite.keep writing.i love ur work.LOL!

This poem would you great with a picture of your daughter smiling, with pictures with lots of colour on it!
I enjoyed reading you work. Feel free to check mine out. Although mine are obviously no where near as good as yours!
